It seems he'll be doing it on-site at a professional broadcast facility with an actual engineer on-site to catch most of his braaps. I want to tune in just to see how things go for him with that kind of infrastructure behind him.

Judging by the numbers from darkmatter streams when they were last available they had about the same listening numbers with the numbers actually growing slightly when hoagie was on. It is only because of the affiliates she has larger numbers in total.

Yeah, it would seem to be the ultimate if you pay you can play. I especially like their lineup on weekends, like a crazy amount of shows. In general it seems a case of "homemade radio makes strange bedfellows"- you have everything from new-age day-dreamers to paranoid right-wingers. I actually am interested on how the RCH new show/platform will be.

His new theothersideofmidnight.com website is up, but pretty sparse - no updates on guests since last Wed and the club19.5 link doesn't work yet.

Also no info at the new website at all about the new KCAA streaming or links to that.
If you weren't listening to Friday night's show and wrote down the links on the air you couldn't find them now at his website - though they are noted here in this bellgab thread...

Could be hard for lots of listeners to find the show this week if they don't know the change in website or about KCAA.

Maybe he should pay for ads on Dark Matter network for awhile to advertise where his show has moved to?

I'm guessing Keith had his old website as a part of that "network" and just took it down once whatever "winding down" agreement RCH and the "network" had. But you are right it will be hard for fans who aren't BGers, if there were any, to find the new show. He needs to hit internet sites, youtubes, and/or buy a few ads on other shows (or call in.)

Yeah, very much so. The internet, and I think some cable/city agreement, has, basically, killed my local access but back in the day it was very eclectic and bizarre. Everything from ranting, tent-rival preachers, hippie commune/cult leaders, 'legalese it' types, student hosts, late night dating call in shows, environmentalists extremists, militant atheists, to conspiracy-types.  It was where Alex Jones got his start (for good or for ill.)

Hoagland made the decision to leave DMDN. Apparently Keith and Heather decided to expand the program to 5 hours after RCH decided to leave the network.

On his last show, he said he had been talking to the owner of KCAA since November. November is when Keith started charging him $1000 per month for bandwidth.

Thank you for your thoughts about me GravitySucks. What I posted was a joke. I really don't care if Heather Wade did or did not give Art  a blowjob. I know that there is more stuff going that we just don't know about with the slow death of Art's internet radio network. Plus I really don't care because Art does not seems to care about the network or his show because he has left. Who really cares? I don't but Falkie does care. What ever RCH does, I hope for the best for him. As for Art's network, its a sinking ship.

Wouldn't it be a blow to Richard if he suddenly was told by KCAA that since Heather is expanding to 5 hours, we have to drop you or you can come on between 2 and 4 AM Pacific?

You know complaints are going to come in from MITD  listeners to the station if the show is suddenly cut off at the 3 hour mark.

I'm guessing just not updated site and "whoever" is paying more and the contractual stuff/length that was bought? It would seem to be a pay-to-play outfit.

I found out it costs to have your show broadcast on KCAA 1050.  A friend of mine inquired how he could get his podcast added to their programming line-up and received the following: 

"Thank you for reaching out to us and for your interest in our services.

KCAA is a pay to play operation. We have a staff that provides a long list of services for our programmers. Our hourly rates ranges from $125 to $250 for one hour weekly programs.

I'm curious about this too.  I guess we'll find it tomorrow.  My guess is that KCAA will only air 3 hours of MITD.  Ironic, in a way.
