I heard that Trump said that today but I think he kinda had to. I was informed that they are already talking about making it an open convention, probably as an attempt to keep Trump out. If people are convinced that their electoral system is as rigged as a ponzi scheme and they're being locked out then perhaps they should riot. What else is there to do at that point?! 

I don't know how I feel about that.  On the one hand I can see the rationale for the open convention as that has been done in the past and it would be completely legal for Kasich and Rubio to let Cruz have their delegates on the second ballot.  Lincoln himself had a minority of delegates going into the convention of 1860.  Seward's delegates far outnumbered his but Lincoln was able to forge an alliance with the other minority candidates and gain the upper hand.  Lincoln won on the 4th ballot. Even Kasich would have a chance following this precedent.

However, in this age of social media, that would not fly with the public at large and they would cause quite a stir if Trump had the most delegates going into the convention but was denied the nomination.  I think there would be riots.

A grim picture is forming in my mind about the convention.  The people that support Trump don't give a damn what happened in 1860.
