Oh, no.  It was clearly suppressed using Meson Torsion field technology.  It was an odd story, and potentially embarrassing for Mesons.  For the story to disappear so quickly is apparently normal.

I consulted the wiki, and it clearly states:

All mesons are unstable, with the longest-lived lasting for only a few hundredths of a microsecond.

So really, it is a no-brainer.
