You just don't know about the coming advances. For some reason they don't get much attention like they once did. I recommend a documentary, watch "Cool It". It's on Netflix I think.

I'll check it out.  There's a Lot of controversy surrounding his work.  I tend to be skeptical of "coming advances" - they have a way of doing more "coming" than "arriving."

I dunno if he's promoting fission; I hope not.  Humanity has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that if fission can be responsibly harnessed, we're still incapable of doing it.  I know this is going to piss off fission advocates, but the fact is that humanity would be better off shutting down every fission plant on the planet.  Every time a Chernobyl or Fukashima melts down, untold masses of human beings get cancer and die horrible deaths sooner or later.  That shit is not acceptable.  Geothermal can do the same job without murdering millions of people.
