I got a viewmaster on ebay recently:

In the 1960s they sold 3D photo reels from TV shows like Lost in Space.
Yup.

i think i may call in next open lines and ask Hoagie what...the last sci fi book he read was lol

I'm betting it's Ringworld by Larry Niven. I've heard no evidence that he is any more current than that.

trostol

is it me...or is there an awful lot of...awkward pauses lol

I had one as a kid.  I remember having Batman, and Donald Duck reels.

I've got one from the 40s or 50s. Don't know how old, but old. Doesn't work as well with one eye though.
This is the one I had.

i think RCH was emphasizing 3D reels as being the medium of it's time when he had a eureka moment earlier in his life.

I'm sure he keeps his    viewmaster right next to his    accutron with all his   other scientific tools

Too technical. Ruined him for anything else more "modern"

is he high you can buy them on ebay CHEAP!!!

but the reels are what are challenging to locate. the same with old game cartridges, where as the console systems themselves are plentyful and units don't spike in value like the peripheral media does.

Jackstar

Most of the usual suspects have abandoned us. You're right on time.

Are you claiming     to be older      than RCH ? ;)

GravitySucks

Now why couldn't RCH have been this well behaved last night???

comaphobe

i wonder if there are viewmaster reels for logan's run or frankenhooker. that would be serious shit. can you buy blank reels to insert your own slides?

Braaps your Queen is here. Where is Norland? He always tries to bait me to post in these threads now.
