Is this the EM Drive guy?  I had a friend who tried to test that.  Very difficult to tune those things; after a few years trying to get it to resonate properly, he gave up.

That's him and to answer Swordpoint: Dave Distler was a great Hoagland guest back when Hoagland was good that's making some headway with a privately-funded grass roots EM drive designed by Dave. Sounded like a solid idea. He also likes us and checks in every now and again. Good guy.

What's new in emdriveland? Career scientists heads still exploding because it cannot work according to them. Major test for NASA scheduled soon. Still think something weird is moving the engine. Cool - I love experimentalists.  Now that I have access to RCH's archives I'll have to check out his interview.  I'm bewildered that every team that successfully builds one of these things reports positive results.  It has to be experimental error of some kind.  But hopefully it's not, and we can start writing some new physics - it seems like half a century since anything exciting has happened in a lab setting....just lots and lots of confirmation
