i have more guitars than rooms now and i'm actually starting to get concerned about space. i placed a wanted ad for a black 1984 x-series destroyer with original hardware and it came through for me with a case. it is absolutely great though and built for shredding oldschool metal. a week later i got a 2002 destroyer at price too good to pass up so i grabbed it. seller was moving to panama or some shit and was desperate to unload. plus i found a black warlock with widow headstock last weekend and dropped 2 bills on that. now a 1985 ibanez proline 1660 waits for me to pick it up and seller is holding for me. i already have one of those but i need another to keep the other company. IMO it's better sounding than a jackson RR.

well you could sell one guitar... one you can easily replace.

I just finished a 6 string jazz bass project. I bought a used, cheap SX 6 string jazz bass. ....stripped the body, and refinished it .. and replaced the neck. 
Had to thin down the neck some, and re-lacquer it, too.  I just got it strung up a few days ago.  ...quite happy with the result. Whole project cost me $400.cdn

when playing bass do you use a pick, or do you just use your fingers? i stripped a guitar down in the mid 90s and refinished it, but left the neck alone. it was a flying v which i still play a lot but i've worn down some frets a lil bit. too scared to have it refretted, can anything go wrong with that?
