he is my least favorite singer of black flag, they had 4 vocalists and he was the final one for the last half of the band's lifespan ( from 1980 to 1986 when he replaced the 3rd singer, Dez Cadena). i do like the slip it in album as well as other black flag albums with rollins singing. mostly, i do not like his condescending tone when he talks to people. i have met some down right evil good people in bands but they never spoke down to their fans or an interviewer like rollins has a habit of doing. he talks to people like they are stupid. he even gave nardwuar a hard time in 1998 during a 10 minute video interview. he was really breaking his ballz, as that's what hank does.

most of the songs with rollins singing were rerecorded songs from earlier albums with keith morris and ron reyes. it's not like it was his material anyways, it was greg's band, rollins got the gig when dez chose to play rhythm guitar and quit singing. rollins was just a fan in DC who went on stage and sang a song one night which happened to coincide with dez wanting to vacate that position. a week later he moved to redondo beach or someplace and started working with black flag as 'henry rollins'. in DC he was henry garfield and served ice cream cones. he was also in an episode of unsolved mysteries with robert stack.
