I used the Fibonacci Sequence (1,2,3,5, 8, 13, 21, 34, etc., which ultimately is an expression of the Golden Ratio 1.61) as a betting progression playing craps.  It seemed like a good idea at the time.  It seemed right and cosmic.  I lost my shirt.

It totally works, but the only problem is you need the gross national product of the universe as your stake.

It is nice to hear Hoagie be happy.  Happy in the universe with limitless things to measure and ponder.  This is one of his good shows.
