I watched a few shows, Zeeb, before I dropped DTV.  It was interesting.  But I used to like Ice Pilots, too.

I started watching it when it was on "The Weather Channel."  One of the few "reality shows" I'd watch, on occasion.  My favorite episode was when they did a "reenactment" of the Dambuster raid with their DC-4.  It was actually a special "Nova" episode.

I thought Lancasters were used in the raid on the German dams? Also there was a great BBC shows about the same squadron No.617 who bombed the "Tirpitz" which was a huge NAZI ship hiding up in a fjord in Norway.

Yes, it was Lancasters in the actual raid.  That's why reenactment is in parentheses.     Buffalo had "an extreme shortage" of Lancs, as in none, and one DC-4 available.

Gotcha, sorry. Sounds like cool shows. The BBC ones on the raid(s) were great. I love Dambusters the movie and disappointed that they are going to remake it. But, maybe, ok to bring to a new generation/audience?
