The University of Georgia’s “Young Democratic Socialists” club recently suggested that House Republicans should be “guillotined.”

In response to a story initially reported on by Campus Reform, in which an Art Institute of Washington professor claimed that Republicans “should be lined up and shot” for their passage of the Obamacare-replacement bill, the Young Democratic Socialists suggested that they should instead be “guillotined.”

I feel like the real issue that should be addressed in this article is that there are potentially false accusations of sexual assault going on, not whether same sex carriages should be a thing.

Maybe same-sex train cars are a plausible stopgap while rape culture still rages, but in the end, is freedom in a confined space really freedom?

Qantas pilot slammed for blaming wheelchair-bound passenger for delay
The woman complaining has 'problem glasses' and dyed hair, which is always a good indicator of a social justice warrior, plus what she's complaining about seems like it wasn't even about her.

Writing in a Facebook post, Samantha Connor said she and a plane full of passengers were waiting on the tarmac in Melbourne for the Perth-bound flight to take off yesterday when the pilot’s voice came over the loudspeaker.

“We have just had a customer come on board in an eagle lift, a special piece of equipment, it takes some time to get him on board, it is what it is. That is why we are delayed,” the pilot said, according to Ms Connor.  The passenger the pilot was referring to is a wheelchair athlete, Jakob Ratnayeke, who plays wheelchair soccer, hockey and rugby for WA’s Western Wasps.

Ms Connor, who also uses a wheelchair and is a project coordinator at People With Disabilities WA, told nine.com.au said she was horrified when she heard the pilot’s announcement.

“I thought that was really poor form,” she said.

“I think it was also the tone that is was delivered in. There was a justification, there was a pointing a disabled person as a bit of a scapegoat and then there was the comment, ‘it is what it is”. That was the bit that really upset me,” she said.

Another passenger on the flight, Shorty Lockhart, wrote on Facebook she heard about six public announcements blaming the delayed boarding on the time required to support 'special needs' passengers.

“That final comment from the pilot about the delays being due to ‘special' equipment (was) Just so wrong QANTAS. You have paying customers who have advised you in advance of their travelling requirements and you failed to efficiently provide the service they have paid for and then you blame THEM for that. Publicly,” Ms Lockhart wrote.

It was made more amusing by a young black man confronting the SWA agents about the delay and "why was he being targeted?" "Racism" And, when a SWA agent said "the truth is there was bad weather and the in-bound flight was delayed" he yelled "What? Are you JESUS!?! Who are YOU to tell me the TRUTH!? What do YOU know about the TRUTH for a black man in America!!??!" Security and LAPD were summoned but only lurked in the background as SWA supervisor came over and, somehow, calmed him down. Hours later, when the plane finally arrived, he appeared subdued and there was no incident on the plane. SWA was kind and gave us unlimited drinks and as many peanuts as I wished. But at that point most people were exhausted from the long delay and so most slept.

Jeez. Though I have A BIT of sympathy for RyanAir fliers, but only a bit. And nobody should shout or attack workers, especially since they are often the victim of company policies themselves and are just trying to make a living.

Their model was somewhat based on deception (when advertised you are flying into Oslo, for example, you are not- but flying into more remote airports far outside the cities,) and also they screw you (intentionally?) by switching airport gates more frequently than a bingo-caller calls out numbers. If you miss your flight? Too bad. Also the baggage allowance is horrible. But, by this point, most flyers should be aware of the business model and know what to expect for such cheap flight tickets on budget airlines! What I don't like is all airlines, and many other businesses, seem to be in a race-to-the-bottom of comfort and customer service and angry, rude, drunk passengers don't help the situation.

Sorry, I was worried my taxi driver might be allergic to peanuts like the weak kids these days. But I was determined to get my recompense on SWA/Weather for the delay, and the airlines making the seats so small, so I had my feet out into the aisle to get some legroom. Also, so that even when I nodded off the stewardess would have bump my feet or leg moving down the aisle and I would wake up from my stupor and say "some more peanuts and..how about a Bloody this time, it is almost morning."

I know that Canada, like many other countries, has no free speech but would you still get prosecuted if it was an honest mistake? Are actual malice and/or intention considered at all in prosecutorial/arrest discretion or as a affirmative defense in court? Or will the crime be a pro se issue (like statutory rape often is?) What happens if an honest "Its Pat!" or "Rachel Maddow" situation and someone honestly simply misidentifies the gender? After all there are over 50 of them now! How can one expect to guess correctly all the time?
