I think albrecht and Dyna-X make great points. I think our own oligarchs are using misdirection to keep the vast majority of us fighting each other over the latest shiny object while they run rampant over democracy. While the wealth gap grows and what used to be the backbone of America - a strong middle class- withers.  I think both "sides" can agree on this. Too conspiracy theory?

I would also add the interesting phenomena, for decades, of the ignored "fly-over" country, as many politicians call it, and how the formerly democratic, labor, or even almost quasi-socialist (in the good community co-op way) was ignored by the weirdo fringe types on the coasts and Hollywood etc who ignored, and made fun of, them. And even still hanging on, and accepting immigrants etc due their Christian values etc are maligned and ignored.

Hollywood helped to hijack most everything that was good about the Dems and their narrative 40 years ago as well as effectively as any big lobby.  Bunch of fucking tools. Bingo.

Ohh, BTW the pseudo-intellects that devised common core belong in JCs sewage pit. This is a danger to national security in a broad sense and not good for families, either. I'll give you this TL. Globalist Reps are just better at hiding behind the flag when they throw the middle class under the bus. I am wary of most in the current cabinet as well and have adopted a wait and see attitude.
