I'll certainly have a look. Marvel's Agent Carter was fabulous earlier this year. Also the Agents of SHIELD have been constantly getting better.

Maybe I’m just getting older and more crotchety â€" but I liked all this Marvel stuff (Avengers, Defenders, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Howard the Duck,  SHIELD, Dr. Strange, Conan, etc.) â€" long before all these movie & TV blockbusters came along…Anyway, yeah â€" it’s supposed to be good and Frank Miller-gritty. Let’s all watch it and report back…I think I heard the Kingpin turns up in it too…

Marvel has been doing great job with their whole Cinematic Universe. I especially recommend the Agent Carter series (just 8 episodes) - but probably you have to watch the Captain America movie first. DC isn't far behind. Both companies have been producing cinema & TV content at amazing rate lately.

Yeah, I cut my cable. The only TV I pay for anymore is Netflix, so lucky for me DD will be turning up there…I’m also a sucker for that half-hour “Justice League Unlimited” cartoon. Some tight little scripts and they utilize a lot of quirky, less popular DC characters…I’ll probably get out to see Avengers: Age of Ultron in a couple weeks as well.

Just finished the series. It's fucking awesome. Hope more people on the board watch it and give it a try. As a comic fan it is the first TV show to achieve the quality that I know is possible from the source material.

Cool Saucy. I watched the first 2 episodes last night. I liked it. The guy playing Daredevil does a nice, understated job as Matt Murdock. The whole show is dark and gritty in the world of Hell’s Kitchen, New York.  They seem to be playing off the comic series fairly close with Foggy Nelson, Karen Page and Battling Jack Murdock. The flashback scenes to when Matt was a boy are well handled. Excellent fight scene in the rain in episode 1. Episode 2 got more into what drives Murdock â€" and the way he can get the holy crap beat out of him and still keep moving forward. The Faith thing was touched on without being over-the-top…So, I got 11 more to go. My wife liked it too and she was hesitant â€" about “watching one of (my) superhero shows.” Looking forward to the rest.

I’m through episode 11 now. (2 more to go.) Yeah, this is pretty excellent. The guy playing Murdock/Daredevil is very good. There have been hints dropped of wider connections to the Marvel Universe as well â€" so, that’s always fun too â€" seeing how it all ties together in continuity.

I've seen a few of these and they are pretty good. It works a lot better than 'Agents of SHIELD', I think, which seemed pretty silly - they tried to keep it relevant by dropping in references to Marvel characters from time to time but it all felt a bit pointless to me. This is exceptionally violent, as comic book adaptations go; the fight scenes last a lot longer than I can remember from any other show, and the bit where Fisk just annihilates that Russian and decapitates him by repeatedly hitting his neck with a car door has to be the grisliest thing I have seen on TV for a long time. I have got about halfway through, and I have heard that it steps up a gear in the later episodes, which is good because it has been a bit too much like a crime drama so far for my taste. I don't suppose they have a very high budget, but it doesn't look cheap. They often seem like the red-headed stepchild of the Marvel franchise compared to the films, but this one is holding up surprisingly well.

I am going to watch these as I get the time, I just recorded all 13 episodes in case they disappear.  Sounds pretty cool from what people are saying.  Netflix made these right?  I guess they are making enough money to cover operations and are getting into production?

Uh yeah, no worries about them disappearing from Netflix. They were made as part of an exclusive deal with marvel, and three more shows are coming (Jessica jones, Luke cage, iron fist) then a team up mini series of all of them as the defenders.

And yeah Netflix is doing just fine. They're stock price is over $400 a share, I still can't believe I didn't buy as much shares as I could afford when they're shares tanked a few years ago when they botched a new business model driving the stock down to $40.

I've watched the 3 first episodes and I can confirm they are really cool. The show is much darker than anything else from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

I started off really enjoying this, then after a few more episodes I started to get bored. There were too many long conversational scenes between people that never really went anywhere, and a lot of the acting was pretty average at best. I think they were too ambitious to have a 13 part series when the story could have been contained within half that number without any loss. About the only performance that was interesting was Leland the dodgy banker, who was obviously having fun with the few opportunities that he was given, but the rest were, if not exactly bad, not all that good either.

They probably had a director who was good at getting the series finished on time and under budget but wasn't all that good at directing the actors because they often seemed to be left to their own devices. Even Kingpin was given too much dialogue and came across as quite dull, and D'Onofrio is a good actor, as I am sure most of them are, but it too often felt lifeless and under-rehearsed. I ended up skipping through quite a lot of the final episodes because they seemed to be stuck in some kind of stodge and weren't able to make anything interesting out of it.

Finished up the last couple of episodes. Liked it a lot. Not that there weren’t some flaws to it. Charlie Cox (Murdock/Daredevil) really was well cast. Anytime he’s on screen things are happening. I did have some problems with the Wilson Fisk character, probably more so with the way he was written. Viewers could have used some more background on him other than his childhood traumas. Was he just a big, fat, sensitive guy with anger issues? Becoming a criminal mastermind seemed somewhat secondary and could have been better explored. Characters I liked: Claire, Stick and Ben Urick…A little too much of Foggy. Karen Page was interesting at the beginning and started to be so again at the end. There did seem to be a few too many scenes of the two of them stumbling around drunk without doing much to advance the plot….One of the scenes in the final episode with Fisk reminded me too much of a similar scenario I just saw last month on season 6 of Sons of Anarchy. Overall: the best “superhero” episodic series I’ve yet scene (including both the Captain America movies.)….The Matt Murdock character was just as interesting as his costumed alter ego….For me that transcended what you usually get with this stuff and made it more adult and easier to identify with…I’m on board for Season 2.

This could be really cool if well handled...I always liked Luke Cage & Iron Fist...Would add Daredevil has been much better done than Agents Of Shield. I gave up on that show after the first season. I thought the “agents” were ridiculous and I just didn’t like any of them. With the exception of the female Asian pilot (forget her name) â€" and Agent Coulson they should have cleaned house on all of them…

I guess the quality is just so much better than the comic book shows on cw and other TV channels that it made me happy. Besides, I'm a huge comic book geek so it doesn't take much to make me happy.

Yeah and in comparison Daredevil feels like it's breaking bad, even though I know it isn't. It's like eating ramen for a month and then getting a big fatty piece of steak. Sure it's to fatty and could lose some trim but you're just so happy for the steak that it doesn't matter there's a filet mignon out there.

First 3 episodes were great. The next 4 should have been compressed into a single hour. Watching them was like reading Shogun...
