Anyone catch the Gotti family interview this week?

I think it was Tuesday night when I heard Gorch interview some crime author and John Gotti's son. Holy cow was that bad. So Gotti was talking a lot about how many of the members of the Gotti org were busted using the RICO act (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations). It's not rocket science and I don't know many people who don't understand what racketeering means. Even anecdotally, everyone understand what "the mob" or "organized crime" means thanks to various movies, TV shows and books. And that these ongoing criminal orgs have businesses that are "rackets".

The funniest, most disappointing part of this interview was, after at least 20mins of Gotti explaining how a bunch of them were caught, Gorch said something like "ok, so what is this RICO thing you are talking about?". I think I heard Gotti sigh a little then spelled it out to Gorch like he was 12yrs old. Wow...

That's about when I turned back to NPR. Mark it down as another low in C2C interviews.
