Of course, let's not trust YOUR OWN GOVERNMENT for the numbers!

Statistics Canada projects that, by 2031, approximately 28% of the population will be foreign-born.

And only about 13 percent of Americans are foreign born.  Should we limit our discussion to foreign-born or to visible minorities?

One way, but it would maybe necessitate a Constitutional Convention which is very hard to do and could also open itself up to other bad changes, is to disincentivize immigrants coming across our open-border to have their baby here by making a change to the "natural born" US citizen provision in the Constitution. Right now some people go to great lengths, including risk to themselves or their unborn baby, to come here to have the birth. Then their kid is a citizen and if many cases, especially after they turn 21, they can get their family into the country legally. Maybe some "grandfather" proviso or simply the child's citizenship would be based solely on the parent's citizenship? Sure the illegal would still get the free healthcare and services to have the child once she crossed the open-border (for humanitarian reasons we wouldn't not allow them to have a safe birth- unlike Mexico*) but the child would not be an anchor and so, maybe, lessen the incentive for them to come here (at least for child birth?)

What Albrecht doesn't get is that 28 percent of a country's population being foreign born is a staggeringly large amount.  He thinks it is "not very diverse". Of course, he failed to show examples of countries that are more diverse.  In fact, he failed to prove his point at all.

Your map shows more ethnically diverse countries. Just look at it again. Like Rwanda. An example for all countries as too the beauty and strength from diversity. ps:  If you exempt the French speakers the Canadian situation looks not quite as "ethnically diverse."

Clearly all countries have internal problems with crime, nutcases, violence, drug abuse, child abuse, education, economics, etc (to one degree or another.) The importation of MORE trouble-makers, MORE drains on the country's social services and resources, MORE uneducated or backward people, and MORE disaffected people will not help those problems. More sane immigration policies, controlled borders, and more profiling of statistically significant types here who are more likely to offend or be a threat would help cut down on both the Islamic threat and help free up resources to help solve domestic problems. And also discourage ghettoization and provide more opportunities for those immigrants (and their off-spring) already in our countries to assimilate and become successful and so, in theory, less likely to become disaffected or resentful of our countries and commit these types of crimes and terrorism. Also helps lessen the native population becoming polarized (or outright crazy and violent like Brevik)or marginalized/resentful by perceived societal changes, lack of opportunity, culture clashes, etc.

If you come to my country, you have to adopt my official language, abide by my laws, let your children integrate into my culture , and pledge loyalty to my government.  I don't have a problem with that, and I think -- at least where I live, that is by-in-large the way.  But, how do you really enforce this?  Do you outlaw their cultural practices, even if they don't conflict with pre-existing laws?  Do you tell people they can't live in neighbourhoods with their expat countrymen?  Do you forbid them from speaking foreign languages?

I didn't really speak to your point, just wondering.

Certainly there are more ethnically diverse countries.  How does that make Canada not diverse?  Example: there are people that are denser than you, but you are still very, very dense.

BTW, got any actual data re: French Canadians, and their impact on Canadian diversity,or are you just talking out of your ass again?

By immigration quotas based on the current make-up of the country or region. By having regulations about what type of immigrant to take in (based on education level attained, wealth, job skills, etc.) Literacy test in the language and test in civics and history prior to granting residency and then citizenship over a period of time of verifiable employment and worth to the country maybe. Maybe even higher hurdles than citizens with regard to follow-up checking once admitted (are their children in schools, do they have jobs, no public assistance for housing, periodic checks for criminality or worrying associations, etc.) Not simply throwing the borders open, taking in immigrants simply because they have a family member already residing here, not taking in wholesale large numbers of immigrants at once or from the same region and upsetting current demographics of an area, and not allowing all the immigrants to all move into one area of town or region and thereby not assimilate or even ghettoize themselves.

This is an interesting example of conservative logic.

Did you know, Albrecht, that if you exempt all non-white people, Canada is an entirely white country?  And that if you exempt all of the data, climate change is a hoax?  Or that if you exempt all people with IQ's under 80, 100 percent of Americans voted for Obama?

Our ignorance of the world?

Please.  Tell me what it is about the realities of the world that I don't get.... :)
Google "Climate Change"  ;)

Or, in reference to your previous post implying that a good guy with a gun can prevent crime or terrorism:
http://www.slate.com/articles/health_and_science/medical_examiner/2015/01/good_guy_with_a_gun_myth_guns_increase_the_risk_of_homicide_accidents_suicide.html

NRA myths.  Personally, I don't have an issue with US gun laws, per se.  I just wish people were informed of the facts.  Your country has decided that personal freedom trumps the overall well being and safety of your collective society.  That is certainly a choice you are free to make.  But stop with the nonsense that guns are making you a safer nation.  There are no facts at all to back that up.

Some also put flowers at the place where police shot the suspect dead. One told Danish TV2: "I did it because I am Muslim and because I knew him."
I hope the Danish police, or maybe better yet some Dansk Front members or FC København hooligans, are keeping an eye on that Muslim and his associates.
