Too late Nebraska. You should have gotten out while you still had a chance. You've already passed the event horizon to the black hole known as BellGab. You're here for life now.  :o    ;)

Confirmed. Positive lepton radiation readings detected in Central Nebraska.

Heh, heh, heh.
Why do I get the feeling you knew that already.  ;)

Hunh, movie trivia:  Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid was Sam Elliot's first film role.

"Elliott moved out to Hollywood and landed his first credited role: an appearance in the 1969 classic Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, in which Robert Redford and Paul Newman wowed audiences as the titular pair of Western outlaws. Elliott's role, "Card Player No. 2," was somewhat less prominent. ("I think I was a shadow on a wall or something," Elliott joked.)"

Sacrilege! It was a great movie!

Something cool about that film is the American West is almost its own character, the way the cinematography was done, and the way they let the scenes play out without feeling rushed as they crossed the landscapes.

Also it has one of my all-time favorite movie lines:

Butch:  Who's the best lawman?
Sundance:  The best how?  You mean toughest ... or easiest to bribe?

I feel the opposite. Interested in the deep state being exposed more but I often hate the shows with mafia guys because they often seem like liars and I've had enough glorification of mobsters for one lifetime now. They're part of the equation of how this country started going wrong.  ;)

Gracious Good Evening, Knappstars.  I plan to be listening offline tonight but may drop in later. Just know you are on my mind and in my heart  ;)  :-*

I hate to agree, but i do.  This'll be the second Knapp show in a row I've skipped. :'(

Given the paucity of good shows out there though, I feel maybe I'm being too picky - like I just crossed a desert but refused a drink of water for having no ice cubes.

You take care. I am listening and, even though I'd rather mysterious places, strange beings, ufos, the creepy and unusual, .....I will give these topics a chance because it is Knapp working the interview.

I love when Knapp does Mob shows. This one was good, Natale is a dubious character to those in the Mob scene. I don't think I've ever heard the head of a Mob family do a radio call-in interview, lots of soldiers and wiseguys peddling books but not a don. That's where people take issue with the guy, they don't regard him as a real don. He seems to have made/created his reputation while serving 16 years in prison where younger mobsters bought his war stories, name dropping and tough guy persona. So he actually did become head of the Philly mob in the late 90's when he got out of jail.

Cosa Nostra is pretty marginalized in the US today, almost non-existent in some formerly strongholds like Philly. Still very big in Canada - Toronto especially.

QuoteEven Merlino’s crew bought into Natale’s tough-guy persona.

"Yeah, sure, people thought Ralph was tough in prison," says a man who is friends with both Natale and Joey Merlino. "But the only thing tough about him is his mouth. Trouble is, he’s a great liar. Everybody believed Natale. In prison he had the look and the stories, so of course people feared him. He is a legend in his own mind. He was in prison with Joey Merlino and a lot of the young guys, and they heard his bullshit stories and saw how people feared Ralph in prison, so they bought the whole thing. Ralph talked his way into becoming the mob boss. And that’s all it was, too, just talk."

Inherent problem with researching and writing about the Mob, outside of evidence that comes out in trials, and even much of that, is information from the most unreliable untrustworthy people walking the earth.

I liked how all the higher-ups were perfect gentlemen - including Jimmy Hoffa, last interviewed by George sNoory,

Sorry, Neb.  I was of the same opinion as our favorite squirrel and conked-out early.  I'm pretty much an Area 51, aliens, and UFO Knapper of the non-Blink 182 variety.

Ditto. He's bound to have another UFO guest soon by the law of averages.

I enjoyed last night's show. Both guests were quirky and interesting and of course Knapp brought out the best in them. Careful, good George. There is now a mob boss who will do anything for you. Just ask

More Knapp next week  8)

It's been a long time since I've heard Reagan knocked this hard, and I don't think I've ever heard so many US presidents accused of being involved in assassinations or assassination attempts in one place, by one person. God forbid this Gorton  haracter runs for office, but  don't be surprised if he does. This is one of the reasons I don't like Knapp as much as some people do on this board--he let's these extreme assertions sail by with no challenge. I have a hunch that one of the 100 books he read was Jerome Corsi's. He has a real fixation with the Dulles brothers.

it is still big here just vastly more on the quiet front...so much so i honestly couldn't tell you who the head of it was any more..used to be a weekly show on the mob here by a local reporter, Dave Schratwieser..think that has been off the air now since pretty much Merlino went to jail..also the rackets they do these days are so different then in past years
