Round-the-clock Medved(Seattle centric)

Has anybody in the Puget Sound market noticed that 770 is running Medved reruns,often the same ones over and over, at night, weekends, seemingly all the time, at the expense of Rush or other reruns people might want to hear.  Gone are the days of Bill Handel.  It may(gasp, shudder) even cut into infomercial time.

Does anyone else think that Medved is a deeply closeted homosexual?  No one can be as wildly opposed to gay marriage as he without some kind of emotional investment.

No, I hadn't noticed. I usually listen to him or Sean in the afternoon and then Shapiro afterwards. I then switch over to 570 KVI for Lars Larson. 770 fades out for me at about 4 p.m. now, so I can't listen after that. I avoid all AM stations on the weekends because there is nothing but suckage on the weekends, unless Handel is on.

I should have clarified that I don't listen to AM radio during the daytime hours on the weekend. 

MV, I do agree that Medved is irritatingly partial to the Republican establishment.

I hear the kiro guys talk about him occasionally, but I haven't tuned into a Medved show in I don't know how long.   I'm surprised that he's on the air too.    IMO, the best local show right now is 9-noon Tom & Curley on Kiro.

I like his movie reviews(though I sometimes wonder if we saw the same movie) and he gets some really interesting guests, but I will never forgive him for making excuses for Thad Cochran. And the episodes with Lanny Davis , especially the most recent one, are sometimes quite vomit-inducing.

Closet case?  I doubt it.  Him and Diane just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary, I think. He's one of those uxorious talk show hosts, and frequently has her as a guest or even co-host of the show.

If you listen to the station a lot, you will notice he turns up on David Boze's and Ben Shapiro's shows lot too.  It's almost as if he lives at the station. Well, of course, that gives him more opportunity to gripe about the drunk dorms and other aspects of urban life in downtown Seattle that don't suit him.

You know there are good shows they probably have access to--Handel on the Law, Alan Hunt, Kim Kommando, Larry Elder maybe, even John Batchelor--that could be used on weekends and late-nights. I'd almost prefer infomercials to 24/7 Medved.

Well, they are anticipating that Michael will be well enough to come back in March now. Yesterday, Boze conveyed a message from the Medveds thanking people for their prayers and stuff.

Meanwhile David Boze has been doing a wonderful job. He did almost as good a job discussing 50 Shades of Grey as Medved himself would have.  Mark Davis is OK, but a little hacky for my taste sometimes.

If my husband or boyfriend wanted to take me to 50 Shades of Grey for Valentines, I would say, "Could we see Imitation Game or something instead?" But then they would probably say, "I'm paying, we'll see what I want to see."
