dubb, I am definitely anti-O.  If he could have just given me something, anything to hold on to and support, perhaps it would be different to some degree.  I am also anti politician.  They are all eliteist bastards.  They will sell your ass, my ass and everyone else' ass just to score a few bucks more.
It's no fantasy.  It's a horror fest that masquerades as whatever you want it to be.  Hate it, love it, it is still the same poisonous brew that we all swill....and too many of us reach for seconds.  It's meant to divide us by class, faith, ethnicity, gender, persuasion, etc.  That's why there is no melting pot anymore.  We are all 'special.'
Specially trussed up and ready to serve.
Thorazine to clear the vision?  Don't need it.  I see clearly.

I'm sure, if Obama and his adherents had their way, things like psikhushkas would be very common for political dissents or indeed anyone who simply criticized "the One." Maybe this could be implemented under Obamacare? Or through the VA instead of secret waiting lists, perhaps? Or Medicare? Clearly anyone who doesn't believe in "the One", or pick your cause, say doesn't believe or talks against the theory of human caused "global warming" "climate change" "climate disruption" could be confined and treated for having "sluggish schizophrenia." Leftists, but really any authoritarian system, have always enjoyed using psychiatry for political control but the leftists seemed to be better at it. Pity the people who dare go against Lysenko or, in this case, "the One" Obama.

And Obama has such an attitude towards those troops wounded by the evil Bush IEDs in Iraq that he refuses to even attend the opening of the new Memorial for disabled veterans.

blah-blah-blah

As usual, you ignore the hard facts in favor of making another 'Obama is the anti-Christ' ideological rant.  Obama increased VA funding dramatically.  The problem is a hidebound VA bureaucracy protected for too long by Congress.  And DC has enough memorials; disabled vets need facilities and support, not more ceremonial limestone.

Spending means nothing if the facilities, people, and paperwork don't work. Instead of providing such outstanding medical, legal, housing, and even psychiatric counseling and education to illegals use those people, facilities, and extra money to help out veterans. Instead of secret waiting VA waiting lists, or dismissing military members for questionable reasons to cut future costs, put the illegals on secret lists and spend the effort Obama gives to them to the veterans. Those ERs, nice new facilities, the psychiatrists, the lawyers, and the doctors- and heck, even the flat-screen tvs could be better used by veterans in need.

ps: you know, of course, that no public funds are used for the Memorial (Public Law 106-348) so I don't mind a new Memorial. One of the only good things about DC are the Memorials.

Don't misinterpret my response to right wing partisan horseshit as a pro obama rant.  I'm not blown away by his Presidency.  In fact - and I have said this elsewhere - I would have voted for John McCain had he picked a running mate that wasn't an imbecile.  I'm pointing out the hypocrisy and the nonsense.  It's partisan politics.  And it's just that simple.  The Republicans have been bitching since 08 and they're pathetic.  They're like a spoiled little brat that takes his ball and goes home when he doesn't get his way.  Fuck them eight ways from Sunday.  Politicians are inherently shit but Republicans are the worst.  I choose Democrat because they are slightly less shitty.  God we are fucked.

If we do end up doing a hard reset, I surely hope that self-serving alarmist knob-gobblers like Chris Hedges are the first ones fed into the ovens.

In what universe is Joe Biden not an imbecile?  Richard Cheney not an imbecile?  Al Gore not an imbecile?  Dan Quayle not an imbecile? George H. W. Bush not an imbecile?  Whoever was that imbecile Carter's VP and the guy before that?

I think I agree with whomever or whoever (if it were multiple people) that said most all politicians from either side are imbeciles.  I leave it to the individuals politically fractured mind to decide which side has the historically bigger imbeciles representing them...

That is all.

Carry on.

The cynicism that's become so pervasive in our culture is part of the problem.

Two things to improve the country:

1) End corporate citizenship
2) Reform campaign finance laws

I'm sure the media/Democrats would have loved that. Bush taking us to war on terror on 9/10. Haha!!! On 9/10 they were still trying to find enough votes in Fla to declare Gore the winner. Democrats wouldn't even support the war on terror after 9/11.

That's pretty much the epitome of what Obama's been battling since the beginning, isn't it?  Everyone's so eager to see him fail they can't take an objective look at his policies.  How can a country function like that?

From the day Bush was elected in 2001 the media was telling us we were in a recession. The articles and headlines are endless. Telling us how 400k new jobs per month was an economic collapse. It was laughable how bad they tried to lead the country into a recession. Well 2006 came, Democrats took the Senate, and by 2008 they got their recession :).

Since the day Obama was elected, the media has told us we were in recovery and happy days are here again. The reality is the economy has been worse under most of Obamas presidency than when he took office. Its as bad now as when he took office. And its entirely attributable to his only accomplishment, Obamacare.

A good president and leader in Washington would have had the economy back to the booming days of Reagan/Bush/Clinton/Bush no later than early 2010. Its now 2014, and the economy is still in the toilet. Fewer people are working, fewer people have healthcare. The middle east is still a mess. Islamic terrorists still hate us. The racial tension in the US is worse now. Guantanamo bay is still open. He's accomplished something no one ever thought possible, be a worse president than Jimmy Carter.

Shouldn't that list include ending the cynicism that's, you know, part of the problem?

You know what, never mind.  I'll let myself out.
