I think that particular Station was having a slow news day.

"This strange object...."  And a picture of some sort of lens flare.

"A light that seemingly comes from nowhere..." and a picture of a light where the source is clearly coming from just off camera.

"They come closer. They look like headlights but well off the ground, and there are no roads..."

I can't imagine there might be a terrestrial vehicle that can go off-road, at night, among delicious, tasty deer, and has headlights well off the ground.

Oh, wait.



If I were the Shattels I'd do a quick headcount on my deer.  They'll probably find their nocturnal visitors have taken a couple of the little fellas away in their fantastical off-road jeep they use for hunting deer at night futuristic space-rocket ship, and are currently on their way to a refrigerator in backwoods Mississippi Alpha Centauri to meet the President of the Universe as part of some galactic friendship exchange program.
