Proof Conservatives Know They're Done

Let's all not forget a few important FACTS.

Bear with me...

Native Americans would never have been treated the way they were, by redneck lackeys, without the collusion of the elite of society, from where the lackeys get their marching orders, explicitly, or by intentional omission (supposed plausible denial)  â€" they swept aside the Native Americans, by any means necessary, in order to reap profit, for the university educated elite…

Today, the very same so-called university educated elite are using the poor from Mexico, just like the university educated elite in the 1700 and 1800’s used the poor from Europe, to supplant the existing population, for low wage labor, while reaping greater profit than ever before and talking out of both sides of their mouth. They don’t care one iota who dies in the desert trying to find a job in the US, and no one will ever secure the border (which every other country on Earth does), because they want, low, wage, labor, period.

The ‘little people’ that genuinely do have compassion for those folks trying to cross the border for a better life, and for other oppressed people, whether they are gay, or fat, or whatever, are the blind tools of the very university educated elite despots that will give the little peoples’ jobs to the immigrant laborers, for less money.

Harvard and Yale teach Wall Street titans, politicians, and lawyers, NOT how to do justice, but how to win. That is where the tap-root of our social problems in America is getting its nourishment from. Every society that ever existed on this planet, is the result of what they are taught, explicitly, or by example. There are no high-school drop-outs in congress, in the senate, in any investment firm, or in the board rooms of GE and the like. NO ONE working in a tire shop, or in Wal-Mart is responsible for what is taking place in this country. They are casting their votes based, entirely, on deceptions, from BOTH political cesspools.

If our society were better educated in REAL morality, and true respect and consideration for others (not the hollow contempt filled faux-respect we all see every day, especially here on Bellgab), even for the people we disagree with politically and/or philosophically, our society could never be in the condition it is in, and the university educated elite could never get away with what they get away with.

It is NOT poor working white Christian families, that are leading or benefiting from all of the hatred that is going on in this country - it IS university educated elite.

And, I am NOT sorry to say it but, they are in majority, Democrats.

Now, don't get hysterical and girly and interpret that to mean I am any less disgusted with the Republican university educated elite colluders, because that would make you entirely wrong. But the fact is, Liberal Democrats are the majority university educated elite, and the state of our country, and of the inner city black neighborhoods, for example, is on their plate.

America today, is the Plantagenet's England of yesterday.

If liberals are content with "victory" on these terms, it is hard, no, it is impossible, to respect that, and the hypocrisy of it, is horrifying.

Absofuckinglutely -- been saying it for 30-years. I have ALWAYS argued that, telling the poor to eat cake, and then crying when they vote for Obama, whose policies I disagree with, vehemently, and whom I believe is an abject fraud, and as much a contributor to what is wrong with America, as is anyone, is about as smart as letting Mike Tyson slam a cast-iron skillet into your face.

But so long as people let emotion, and their ejaculation preferences, define them, nothing will change - exactly the way the rich want it.

I assume you mean the Plantagenet under John of Gaunt.
There was considerable revolt in England (Scotland and Ireland).

You just come here and parrot someones argument and put no research into anything.

More great analysis on the need to reform our present ways.
Roger Cohen's column from the New York Times, but he's mostly quoting Mark Carney, Governor of the Bank of England:

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/05/30/opinion/cohen-capitalism-eating-its-children.html?action=click&contentCollection=U.S.&module=MostEmailed&version=Full&region=Marginalia&src=me&pgtype=article

Note it's not some impassioned speech against capitalism but a real evaluation of the direction in which we've steered it and how to bring it back.

Quick Karl

It's a good article but the guy made a mistake - it should be titled "VULTURE Capitalism Eating Its Children"

The TRUE Capitalism contemplated by the Libertarian Founders lies more in line with the reforms the author proposes, but the Founders relied on a common-sense-educated electorate to insure it.

We don't have either.

I wonder how we could get to it.  The idea of getting more capital back into the economy, to invest in new ideas, expanding trends, and executable business plans excites me! I would love to see steady IPO opportunities for solid businesses.
The innovation alone is worth finding a way to do that, but the question comes back to how?
(Kickstarter is too limited, but may be on the right track.)

We could start by agreeing to fight AGAINST what is wrong, as a UNIFIED society, and stop allowing philosophical disagreements on insignificant personal beliefs to divide the nation, or, in fact, contribute to that phenomena. Leave the proposing new societal dictates till after that.

Unified? And you're preaching political correct tolerance? That sounds pretty socialist to me. You're just a liberal.

I think the problem lies in the fact that many people living here have trouble enough just making it from paycheck to paycheck.  It is extremely difficult for an entrepreneur with any kind of idea to save enough money to even attempt a starting a business...

IPO's are just stocks, ideas, Initial Public Offerings on a chance to share "my" dream... it's risky, and investors don't line up for them as anything other than a 'fun' bet really...  Especially if it is a non-existant business to begin with... most 'sucessful' IPOs have already been a going concern before 'starting up'

My (it is entirely mine) answer to your question about how to get capital back into the economy is, simply this:

Make some and get it back into the economy however you see fit!

If indeed it is money that drives an economy, either counterfeit some or make some and spend it, or invest it, or throw it in the street...  After all, it is just money...

Yes, entrepreneurs are having a difficult time securing financing from the very institutions that didn't think twice about creating CDO's.

That's a crime.  (Especially since lending institutions have had to pay a pittance for capital from the Fed window for half a decade now.) Money should be pouring into solid business plans and shouldn't have to face severe collateralization (ironic, isn't it...) to expand economic activity.

The money has already been printed; many of the cavebear conservatives on these boards fear it as devaluation of the dollar when, in fact, it will be currency of created value when we start up these new ventures. (The pie gets bigger - something conservatives absolutely hate.)

The fruition of so much creation will be capitalization on the exchanges.  Growing companies will offer investors (retirement planners) opportunities for steady income for decades.

We need to create new businesses.  Many of ourexisting companies are lazy; rather than spiriited competition they merge and streamline.  No growth there.  No innovation there.

Get the damn money back into the economy:
1) Banks that borrow from the Fed need to reduce their collateralization requirements on entrepreneurs.

2) An inheritance tax, to eliminate the growth of oligarchs and plutocrats.

3) 2 year moratorium on taxation and very limited regulation (safety only, really) for new ventures (provided they guarantee not to attempt to evade taxation later on by disincorporating/reincorporating as something else).

4) Reduction of US corporate taxes from current 35% to 7% FLAT in exchange for new Federal Min Wage @ $15.00/hr.  (put the money into the hands of people who actually buy goods based on need)

5) Reformation of the commodities exchanges to full-interested parties only (25% money down, must take delivery of commodity purchased); end speculative pricing plays.

This will push our economy back into growth mode; once we get past the notion that only 1% of us are smart enough to run this thing then we will see amazing innovation and expanded opportunity.

Hi NIT! I missed you!

Instead of just doing all that stuff (great post!) why not also offer to pay citizens to grow industrial hemp? I bet a lot of people could do that. Then, take that biomass, turn it into ethanol fuel, bickety-bam, we're literally fueling the economy! Then we can stop wasting all those resources on corn, and then...

Where are you at with this?

Given how much hemp is grown here in CT, I'm on board.  Corn is too valuable as food for people and feed for edible critters to fritter away as fuel.  Enough of the War on Mary Jane.  Turns out she loved us all along...

As soon as the Jedis kill all the criminal oligarchs, the Ewoks will grow cannabis for us. That's the plan. Psst, pass it on.

I heard some yahoo saying that gasoline engines can run up to 70-30 ethanol-gasoline with few to no modifications today, and then I heard some whole other yahoo saying that some fucking genius figured out how to pump six thousand gallons of water a day for irrigation in Egypt using strictly solar power in 1890, and it is still running now.

I got so depressed, I couldn't even look at the wikipedia to verify. Can you do that for us, Cap? Thanks, you're a hero.

the answer is , yes it will run. it will run very poorly and quickly foul the spark plugs. your fuel economy will drop by around 1/2.

Jackstar

Get the scientists working on spark plugs that can be used as bongs, immediately. Chop chop!

Even the low ethanol required by law now though hurts two-cycle engines (engines that the government and green-types hate anyway because they are simple, can be fixed by a high school kid, rebuilt by hand, and get power) like you find in lawnmowers, mini-bikes, outboards, weed-eaters, go-karts, older dirt bikes, chainsaws, etc. Personally I run my things like lawnmower and chainsaw "dry" every time I use this new gas to help save them....so using more fuel defeating the green's idea.
ps: you also get less mileage with alcohol blended gasoline.

Gasoline- for fuel
Alcohol- for drinking
Corn- for eating and feed

this is correct. since you need to burn almost 2 oz (its like 1.9 something)of  alcohol to get the same amount of power as 1 oz of gasoline of course you lose mileage.
10% alcohol (common here) means that 12.8 oz of that gallon is alkyhol. so your a gallon (power wise) becomes less, you lose something like 5% of your power.modern vehicles will run just fine on it, as there are fuel maps in the PCM to accommodate up to 15% booze in your gasoline. the PCM controls things like injector pulse width, ignition timing, transmission shift points, torque converter lockup, and so on to optimize gallons per mile (not necessarily power).
older vehicles are not that sophisticated. esp  carburated vehicles.
Quote

alcohol is extremely corrosive, will both absorb water and dissolve oil. it will clean out a fuel system and plug up filters and damage electric pumps (loosening the varnish in the tank which allows any sediments to be picked up by and run through the pump, even with the sock filter on it) . it will destroy non resistant rubber seals, rubber fuel lines, and paper gaskets, esp in carbs.

I think the loud conservative talk show hosts have hurt conservative political philosophy more than anyone.  They dominate the airwaves and have so for years, but they have negligible effect once voting time comes around.  I think they focus way too much on the minutia of "us versus them" and drown out conservative people who simply want to live their lives as a decent person in a country that values them as a person, not a revenue source.

Open question:  "Why don't conservative talk show hosts have much influence at the voting polls?"

Kelt

Is it because as they all try to 'Out-Conservative' one another they appeal to an ever-shrinking base of ever-concentrated madness?

Their discourse has become dumb and dumber every year (both parties and most talk hosts).  There is no honest discourse in this country anymore - everything is on an emotional (hyped-up) level.  As imperfect as it is, one has to look at foreign institutions such as the British Parliament to learn about and appreciate educated and intellectual discourse and debate in a government setting (with a peppering of partisan strategy).
