So, good enough for you, but not for him...

If you weren't such a fucking brain-dead Birkenstock-wearing ass-suck, and took the time to think, oh wait, nevermind...

Malcom X was not the criminal that the Democrat controlled media, political machine, and Black-Muslim-hucksters of the 60's made him out to be.

"By whatever means necessary" scares little people like you - and That is why J. Edgar Homo, Elijah Mohammed and Calypso Louie colluded to have him killed...

Bring it, whenever you're ready.

I AM THE LIGHT, and I carry.

You are useless, baseless, clueless, and intolerable.  You're lucky your parents merely dumped you off someplace to be raised; you would've made a great dumpster baby:

I really do not think their are good cops out their. Here is why, if a good cop see's a another cop do something wrong he is suppose to arrest the cop right away. Have you ever seen that. This is what happens when you call the cops!!1

Well he is just another example of how police care not about your rights as a citizen. He just got caught and thats the only reason why he did what he did nothing else.
I hate it when people say it is just a few bad apples. So you telling me a bad apple(cop) in the police station hides all his wrong doing from other cops until he gets caught by a civilians iphone. Well this tells me two things. First they suck as cops if they can not figure this out. Second, they are lying to the American pubic and go alone with the bad cop because they will not cross the blue line. So when someone says it is just a few bad cops they have no clue what they are saying in my opinion. Just go to youtube and watch some of the videos of cops not knowing the law they are suppose to be up holding. Beating people up for no reason, and violating the rights of your fellow citizens. Then tell me it is just a few bad apples. You will see it is just a few good apples in a basket of rotten ones!!1

When Obama came into office in 2008 I never thought we'd be having this discussion while he was in power. I thought he was all about the people.
In truth, he's probably one of the worst presidents for American's rights. I'm not sure what unseen forces are working behind closed doors, but if Rand Paul gets into office and he does a 180 degree on his policies, then it's official to me that some sort of shadow government exists.

As for the cop..He was probably the most honest cop I've seen.

I always thought Obama was going to be bad but not this bad. You are right though. If a Rand Paul did a 180 (or similar type of flip like Obama's) then I'm beginning to believe the stories that "they" take the President in a room after election and show them the Kennedy films and say "any questions." Recall even the younger Bush, during the campaign, was against "nation building", foreign entanglements, etc and then. Boom, new wars and nation building (granted 911 happened but still.) But seriously, with the amount of NSA (and other agencies) spying/data-mining, including now admitted on Congress in addition to all of us, it is not "conspiratorial" to consider political-blackmail a serious proposition. Think about it. We have all the spying but "miss" things like 911, Boston Bombings, the Ukraine situation, the collapse of the USSR, rapid success of ISIS, etc?? So what are they using it for?

They take the President in a room and say, "here's what we couldn't show you as candidate."
NSA?  Reagan was using it on liberals.  W. was using it on opponents of the Patriot Act and the Iraq War.  Obama was using it to cover his ass if there ever was a terror strike on his watch.  The NSA sucks at what they do and the examples you cite bear that out.

That is my whole point. Like Peter Dale Scott would say there is a "deep state" (like in Turkey for many years), the politicians don't really matter. Why Obama continues policies that he was expressly against. And likewise Bush.

So is the police state here and thats the end or people going to do something about it? I know what people are going to do nothing besides bicth. We as Americans do not care about what happens to others until things effects us personally. Unfortunately by then it is to late. I personally think it is almost to late now. I use to live in Nixa, Mo with a population total of 19,858. It has a MRAP vehicle. What is a MRAP well take a look!!1

A MRAP?  It's big, it's scary, it's a tin can full of casualties if you know how to neutralize the threat.  You folks who fear the .gov should start talking with vets of the late unpleasantness overseas about unconventional warfare.  If they are willing, just let them talk.
I'm sure the NSA has scanned this thread and we have all bumped up a tad in their evaluation algorithms.

If you are not on a watch list you should be disappointed in yourself. I go to my local VFW and talk to vet's all the time. I love the fact they are just as pissed off as I am at the moment. Some of the recent vet's from are recent wars are joining me in protests against the Government. As of neutralizing MRAP's we have not had to do that yet. I also hope that people realize things before they get out of hand. If it comes down to it are regular American citizens willing to stand against the so called police/military. I think they are to indoctrinated into following orders instead of fighting for their rights!!1

Displaying a complete and total lack of respect, combined with a penchant for wanton destruction for its own sake, are you really so shocked when a forceful, prepared response is initiated?

Things change in this world--often for the worst. Doesn't matter whether we like it or not, that's simply the way it its. As with any change, one can either adapt or become overwhelmed.

The same principle applies to the Police when dealing with progressively better armed, better equipped criminals.

Our system is not perfect. It never will be. Yes, agencies and officials are going to overstep their bounds at times.

And so will "We, the People".

The vicious cycle perpetuates...

So before you goofballs on here channeling Rambo and/or Captain America go out and do something stupid, consider the bigger picture.

This fire has enough fuel already.

I care about the American civilian rights being violated, police brutality, and the lack of oversight. Some of it can be solved by having a civilian oversight committee that has the power to take action against officers who cross the line. Until then the best way to stop a larger fire is another fire!!1

I agree 100%. Most police are good folks. It depends on the person, department, etc. Sure there are bad ones and corrupt ones but a minority in most places. But certainly they should never be targeted or attacked. If anything that is what "they" (to use an euphemism) want. The "no snitch" crap, the promotion of "us vs them", being downright rude towards police. If you are arrested call your lawyer, don't try to fight them. You will lose and liable to get hurt or dead. Not to mention the open-border encouraging more violent types to come over and try their methods here.

I don't like the militarization of the police but also I don't like the thug-life, promoted by Hollywood and the "music" industry, people that are rude (even to police but also in general), or criminals. Another big problem is there are too many laws, and often ridiculous ones. And laws that should be enforced (like being a criminal in possession of a weapon), aren't, because they are plead down, get out on parole, etc. And the financial motivation of the asset forfeiture laws help encourage over-policing and corruption.

You make some good points. I agree there's so many laws it is not even funny. It is said every American on average breaks the law at least once a day and on average three of them are a felonies a year. Also police hardly know the law. Did you know a barber & beautician has more hours of schooling then cops do. Thats insane in my opinion. Also S.W.A.T. are being used way too much. S.W.A.T. is a last resort action when all else fails, but now they are doing thins like serving warrants. Look up swatting on the net and see how easy it is to use them...

Just indulge me for a minute on their being good cops.
Ok, say you are a good cop and you see a fellow officer do something you know is wrong. You take the officers back or say nothing at all. Because you do not dare cross the blue line are you still a good cop?

That to me this not a good cop in fact I think he is worse.

Here is a fun video you should watch all the way through then tell me what you think!!1

Contrary to the murmurings of assorted Chicken Littles, we are NOT living in a police state.

When officers step out of line, ultimately there is accountability.

Frankly, I'm more wary of the country's general population than I am of LEOs, especially should the day come when America finally collapses under its own weight.

I'm also more than a little irritated by some of the rhetoric being bandied about--this talk about sabotaging police vehicles, creating "tin cans full of casualties", fighting fire with fire, etc. What the fuck is this, Infowars? Most of it is just bloviating and hubris, sure, but there has been a precedent for it to manifest into full-blown incidents, such as the recent killings of officers by supposed "patriotic" assholes.

Sue me if I take this kind of horse shit seriously being that my girlfriend's a cop, I'm friends with cops, and have done the ride-alongs, heard the horror stories, and actually seen firsthand the unimaginable shit they have to put up with from the mostly ungrateful denizens of this rotting society.

I guess it's easy for me to relate, having to put up with the same kind of shit at my job. Every other weekend I'm treated to a cacophony of disrespectful attitudes, thefts, fights, shootings, or some combination thereof. I just want to do my job in peace and listen to George Noory stumble over words and ask repeatedly stupid, inane questions, but apparently this is too much to ask.

At least I have the authority vested in me by the store manager to lock the doors whenever it gets bad. My girl and her colleagues don't have that luxury.

Christ Jesus, sorry for the rant but as if the armchair quarterbacking and second guessing weren't bad enough, we've got a bunch of Joe Vigilantes threatening to make things right.

I agree about large segments of society and also how people, especially those kinds of people, treat the police. And despite your "spin" of claiming the "patriots" etc being a big threat to cops they face much more danger from the typical urban youth gangs, the meth lab folks, or from those criminals coming up from our open-border. Just the other day an off-duty BP agent was killed by some illegals a couple hundred miles from here. Fishing with his dad. Not even "harassing" the illegals. People start shooting at a cop who pulled them over for missing a stop sign! Crazy. How can anyone do a job when a mundane, but sure frustrating, situation (for most normal people) like getting a small ticket means getting into a firefight? But if the police use logic in their approach to a situation will be accused of racism or profiling. But certainly the targeting of police specifically is very frightening and just about the worst thing or attitude that can happen if we want any kind of civil society.

But I disagree with you on oversight of police. If a "civilian" shoots somebody you will bet they will spend the night in jail (minimum) and at least be questioned immediately (although allowed to get an attorney, usually, if they request it). When a cop shoots someone he is put on leave, not arrested immediately, and has the right to consult his attorney and union rep and there is a time period before he is questioned officially. Why? If anything the police by being chartered and trusted with power by society to carry a weapon and enforce the law should be held to a higher standard than a "civilian." Even when a shooting is deemed wrong often the city/department will settle the civil lawsuit but the cop will be only be reprimanded or fired. More rarely face actual criminal charges, in which case much more likely to be acquitted (because most of society, at least polite society, still gives the police a big benefit of the doubt.) And also their legal defense will usually be paid for by the city/department whereas the "civilian" charged in a shooting is going into debt to defend himself.

We already had this discussion on a different thread (Alex Jones). Remember where I drew the correlations between the continual decay of society, police response, and right-wing paranoia and supposed vindication of their crackpot theories?

As things get progressively worse, and the government/police crack down, some of the more unstable amongst these kooks tend to go mega-ton, thinking their fabled New World Order has arrived.

I've never said these patriots were a "big threat" compared to gangs or drug abusers, just that we've got enough problems without reality-challenged morons such as these adding more fuel to the fire.

QuoteBut I disagree with you on oversight of police.

OK, cops are paid to use deadly force if necessary and trained to use it only when it's appropriate to do so. Are there bad cops who abuse this trust? Absolutely. However, most are decent and upstanding. You and I agree on that. See the thing with that is, the American civil rights door swings both ways--we don't accuse an entire group of dishonesty just because of a few bad apples, thus their investigation model fits the rule, not the exception.

Besides, good arguments have been made that rushing investigations into police shootings could actually yield the opposite results of what is intended, creating discrepancies, an atmosphere of general suspicion, and thus making an entire mess out of the court case.

The prosecution has no ground to stand on, the officer--innocent or guilty--goes on his/her way, and what little trust the public has in the police and justice system is further eroded.

Total backfire.

I agree with you on what you've said there. And considering the average pay for the "beat cop", especially considering the dangers they face (and just general headaches from the public) it is amazing that people take the job. The targeting of police not even involved in a situation (like the guys shot at the coffee shop near Seattle a few years ago or by the "nazi patriots" in Vegas) or by criminal gangs/cartels is very worrying and scary.

But they are trained, and society gives them an almost monopoly, on use of force and discretion in interpreting our laws (at least we SHOULD be giving them that unfortunately there are too many laws, pressure groups, and social pressure that discretion by police has been taken away in many circumstances) they do need to face MORE penalties, than the average citizen, if they commit illegal acts or use their badge to commit crimes.

I would also add, though hard to ban them, movies and video games and a music "culture" that makes it fun to target police, "don't snitch", commit crimes, etc are having a bad effect on the culture. I don't care what "experts" say. A child raised on playing games about committing crimes and violence or running over cops is not getting a good message in his head.

Well this is just plane crap. Tell me this, who do people believe? The cop or the person being arrested? Ya the cop until of late. Why? Because of video. Cops lie, use intimidation(bullies), and make up laws to arrest people. They do not even know the law they are suppose to be enforcing. Even with video. hardly any of the cops do anytime in prison or lose their job. This has been proven over and over again. We the citizen end up paying the tab when they settle out of court for violating other civilians rights.

Here is a fun fact you are 8 times more likely to be killed by a so called peace officer than a terrorist.

Did you know police, FBI, or even the Government does not keep track of "wrongful police shooting statistics". Yup thats true in fact, I dare you to prove me wrong.

So if they do not like what they are doing they can leave at anytime, unlike the military. Respect those you want to be respected by..

So screw the citizen that has to sit through questioning right away. Yup screw that citizen, I have a badge so I get extra rights. What a load of garbage. So your saying that they get time to go over things with the union rep, lawyer and fellow officers. While I sit in a freaking cell being questioned over and over. Yup seems perfectly right to me!!1

Can't argue with severe punishment when it comes to clear-cut cases of corruption.

And I most certainly agree regarding this shitty culture of ours. The constant repetition of negative information being imprinted on our minds doesn't do us any good.

I don't suggest banning it either, I just offer a warning...

Something about our tendency to give ourselves just enough rope.

Well I did read the article. I still stand by my statement.

You've got the wrong bellgab member. If you listened to the GabCast you'd know my story. Instead you knee jerk accuse me of being a police stooge. Why don't you calm down. Not everything involves the fate of humanity

Well maybe not everyone on this site knows you and your story. I am always down to listen if someone is willing to talk.
As for the rest well I will not calm down. I think it is our problem as Americans we do not get excited about anything besides gas prices. I do believe everything involves the fate of humanity. Because each of us have a chance to change it for the better instead doing the same crap over and over. As you being police stooge well I never said that. All i did was ask a question. I know my tag is weird and people do not get it but that is just what I do for reasons of my own. I do my very best not to be mean to anyone on the site!!1
