I don't know if the "story" of the rape is real or if it is another storyline by the writers of the Falkie Chronicles, but if true, I certainly don't think of Falkie as a rape victim. Or as any type of victim. If I truly felt that he was an object of pity, I would not say anything negative about him because you don't kick a man when he is down.

On the contrary, I think most people here including myself see Falkie as an able bodied (save for the weight he needs to take off) man who can still be in his prime if he chose to be. The thing is, he chooses to play victim and use excuse after excuse to justify his lifestyle. He certainly has all his mental faculties and is able to come up with all sorts of schemes to make money. That shows entrepreneurial thinking. If he would only do some follow through, he could make something of himself. I think that a lot of the anger and frustration from some posters here comes from people who are actually in his corner and want to see him succeed, but he refuses to do anything to better his life, even though he would have a cheering section if he did. And that's where the anger comes in, to see someone throw away their lives when it does not have to be that way.

As far as the "prison storyline", in the past 6 months someone that I used to know sent me a story. I am not sure who the author of the story was or why it was shared with me, but it was the same exact story that Falkie posted. The story was written from a first person perspective and no, it was not Falkie who sent it to me.

However comic book stores were far and few at the time and the collector market was really just 'Golden Era" books, books printed in the 1940s, before Falkie was born.

The books Falkie and his friend would have would be books from the 60s because he would have been 10 to 15 then.
Possibly they could have all of the Silver sge big issues, first Spider-Man first Iron Man ect and it could be the $500 and up retail of the books.

But no one will walk of the street and be able to sell those very easy.

When we were together before she met him, she was a very happy woman without any real problems or worries.
She never drank and never did any kind of drugs.
We enjoyed each others company and had lovely times together.
He may have had some kind of hold over her, I don't know. I met her in February of 1977 and by the end of that year she was dead.
After she married him, she would come by for a visit on occasion to see how I was doing and to tell me how she was doing. She would cry and had started drinking heavily and was terrified of him.
At one point she came by and asked if I could keep/watch her 4 cats while she went to Oregon.
I wound up keeping those cats and it was interesting because I had never owned cats before.
She last saw me a month before she died at a friend's place. She was hiding out there as he was combing the streets looking for her.

Someone that interacts and communicates effectively with others to fulfill his daily activities. He is able to navigate the environment he lives in by himself. He is functioning within society's norms, although by most others' observations, minimally so.

I still also have my full length knee brace I used to have to wear but stopped because it was a pain in the ass to put it on over pants and it made it difficult as hell to get in and out of cars as I could not bend my knees while wearing it.

I know several people that have much more debilitating ailments than you profess to have. They are all able to work. And they do not scam others.

You could lose weight and take a great deal of strain off of you knees, that make you scream in pain. You could lose the same weight and improve your pulmonary and cardiovascular systems, so you wouldn't gasp for air as often. But that would take responsibility, and your lacking of that quality is your biggest problem.

It's your choice to live like you do. It is your choice to neglect your health. You're 60+ years old and take no responsibility. You choose to live in a fantasy land and since your basic needs are met, you are happy to be the victim. Unfortunately, at this point in your life you are only a victim of your poor choices.
