Point of fact: Mr. Bootstraps first called Fart an idiot before he went back and "doctored" his post.
Yesterday he just zapped his ad-hominem posts like a coward.
I'm going to be quoting this guy every time he addresses me.
In the interest of preserving the written record on this the official Scroll of Falkie.
Happy St. Patrick's Day. Don't wear a plastic derby hat and drink green beer. It's for hipster douchebags and poseurs.
No need to be celebrating the most offensive stereotypes of our ancestry.

Bull.
I know precisely just how much I have earned from You Tube and it's now at the point where it will pay for my internet costs.
They pay in $100 increments.
It's based on ad clicks not views.
A second sister site is paying me money every month NOT based on ad clicks...

As I told you before, you're wrong about YouTube paying for clicks.  They only pay you for ADVIEWS.  If the viewer watches 30 seconds or more of an ad before your video, you get paid.  That's it.  Has nothing to do with clicks.  It's actually the opposite, if a viewer CLICKS the "Skip This Ad" button you DON'T get paid.

I've advertised on YouTube before, and they have never charged per CLICK.  They ONLY charge us when our ad is viewed for 30 seconds or more.  Clicks are free for advertisers, a bonus.  If a viewer clicks our ad and goes to our site but only watches 29 seconds of our ad rather than 30 seconds, we don't have to pay YouTube and you don't get a penny.

He seems about as free as a man can be. Just needs a steady check to pay for the fun. I respect that implicitly.
If he can make it on YouTube then God bless him.
It is completely impossible to predict what will hit it big on YouTube.

This week, YouTube's #1 most popular channel (with over 120 million views in ONE WEEK) is an off-screen woman unboxing children's toys.  Seriously, look: http://www.tubefilter.com/2015/03/07/top-50-most-viewed-us-youtube-channels-03-06-15/

ok. I cal them clicks. let s not argue about nomenclature. And your explanation isthe first I've seen that explains how long you have to watch a ad to get paid.
I looked at analytics briefly last night and some videos earned me 3 cents, some 60. one earned me $2.00. I don't entirely understand how it works.
Another point. I was told by someone at Social Security that rairoad retirement was merged into Ss years ago.
Finally, how is purchasing " useless eectronics" wrong ? its pshysically crowded & cramped in my bedroom & as it gets hotter, hot. I liked doing the video at Starbucks or doing something outside.
And I'm certainly not goingbto be doing interviews with people in there. There's no room.
I don't want to do just videos on Noory forever. There might be something * I * consider worthynof shooting out there & an Iphone isn't always going to cut it. Were it up to that  critic we'd all be using cameras with huge flash bulbs or 8 mm.

I'd like to see a list of non-commercial YouTube sensations. Jimmy Kimmel? Why is this boneless chicken breast popular?
If Falkie gets interviews with players in the paranormal community he could break the four-digit threshold.
I differ with Falkie on Noory but Jorch does have a fanbase. I still listen to Coast every night as painful as the experience has become.

I take it you didn't look at the link I posted about Ms Burr last week? Millions of subscribers, and launched her first book that has signings ticketed! . She's 25 years old. That is how you make money from YT. Not barking shite about Noory (Or any other topic) with your eyes closed, slurping coffee and believing you know anything.

That list is based on number of views, period.  An unknown toy reviewer can rub shoulders with Taylor Swift.  That's the beauty of YouTube.

Noory is just the first, I hope & it will get me noticed.
Of course I'd love to get the chance to interview Art.
I could probably interview the Birnes on the phone or RCH.
But my going to San Mateo is not just about Noory. I've never gone to the event & I hope to get to talk to David Wilcox & maybe get an interview him or at least a short video of him autographing his books for me,
Videos of him on YT are in the stack of stuff to be listened to.
And after 4-1, I'm going back on Slim Fast and eating better & not so much " frozen death. Since I fell last year my lower back has been killing me when I walk. I have to lose weight. Something back there either pulled or went crunch when I fell on my face and knees.
Hey Paladin 1, did you like my underwear ?
I'll try to get something more colorful for you next time.

If you take out the pop stars you have cats, people talking with headphones on, Minecraft and kids doing stuff.
Maybe I could rent someone's kids in the building and video them. ;)
I do love watching Conan. His going to Cuba stuff was priceless.

RCH might deign to an interview when everyone else is sick of him and don't return his calls. No-one will care if you interview any of those you mentioned or not; well, maybe for the comedy value.

I looked at analytics briefly last night and some videos earned me 3 cents, some 60. one earned me $2.00. I don't entirely understand how it works.

It differs because the advertiser can bid however much they want per completed adview they receive.  Some bid $0.03 per adview, some bid $3.00 per adview.  It's an AUCTION, and they're in competition with other advertisers for your views.  The more they bid, the more their ad will be seen in the places and on the videos they want it to be seen.

For the normal everyday YouTuber, it usually averages out to a payout of about $2.00 per every thousand video views (not adviews) they generate.

The YouTube stars like Pewdiepie and Markiplier get much more per thousand video views on average because the advertisers are bidding heavily to appear on their channels.  They see more like $8-10 per thousand video views on the low end.

Seriously, could be big.  Point your iPhone at your cats and watch the money roll in.

Gangnam Style has three billion views. What would auction for that kind of thing be?
And who has ever not clicked "Skip to View" after five seconds of ad?

Learn to play minecraft Falkie. Turn your bedroom and yourself into Minecraft creations. Then simply record your game play and record your voice. That might be fun. You can make a Noory character and throw TNT at it.

Daggit

I have a surefire way for Falkie to make money on YouTube. He should give the option of skipping his videos in order to watch the Ads.

area51drone

I have seen certain ads you can't skip.   That's what Falkie needs.

I don't think you have control over that. I think those "non-skip" ads are randomly generated and are the bane of my YouTube watching experience.

<<<BUZZ KILL ALERT>>>     <<<BUZZ KILL ALERT>>>    <<< BUZZ KILL ALERT>>>

So what have here kids, is the mighty FEARLESS ONE's who's avatar hero, is Bubbles of Trailer Park Boys fame.
Bubbles has been describe in interview with actor Mike Smith, "as maybe having Downs Syndrome, autism or at least Aspergers Syndrome, i.e. he has a certain amount of detachment from reality"
I seriously doubt if Mike Smith or his fictional character Bubbles, would treat Bellgab's own "special character" Falkie with such disparaging and disrespectful comments.

I just posted the following over on the Art Bell Thread:
"Listening to live Art broadcasts with my Mom and extended family and friends while milling around a campfire, on a warm summer star-bright night is one very special ride"

Falkie, you would be an honored guest at my Family's campfire.

I am impressed you have put quite of thought and obviously research into your post. And you are probably correct Bubs is most likely a window licker but i couldn't care less i simply chose the avatar because of the wording. With that said i come here for one reason entertainment while killing time waiting for code to compile and i find Falkie very amusing and the fact you feel the need to swoop in to rescue him from himself tells me you are probably a good person. But the fact remains if he is going to put himself out in the public eye and act the way he does he needs to expect some criticism especially when he feels the need to go off on one of his mindless rants about made up shit on an internet forum.

Probably pretty competitive.  But the bidding tends to be highest on geographic areas like the US and channels that reach a specific demographic (like video game players, fashion enthusiasts, etc).

QuoteAnd who has ever not clicked "Skip to View" after five seconds of ad?

I don't click "Skip" if there's something I'm interested in, like a movie trailer.  That's why advertisers kinda like YouTube, you only pay for the viewers that are interested in what you're advertising.  Funnily enough, it still averages out to a healthy CPM (cost per thousand) ad rate because the bidding has to be high to be competitive and get your ad shown.  I tried setting one of my ads at $0.03 per view and it barely showed at all, and $0.03 per view is $30 CPM!  That's considered a "premium" rate, very high for an internet ad.

He needs to be a super-popular channel or a major media company to get mainly non-skippable ads.

So he'd better start FALKIE'S CAT COURT post-haste.

Well, I just posted a picture of Fuzzy sleeping on my blog but I see your point. now that I know how to turn the camera in the RIGHT direction ...

I like the name but I already have a court page.

Suggestions, anyone ?

And NO off topic troll posts please.

And I thank MV for his kind comment on my video. i'm not sure about whether or not my calling gabcast constitutes banter however.

There have been non skippable ads on my channel. Even ones for Friskies once.
I put up the SF Bay Bridge video and a skipable ad showed up for a brdge design company.

To prove the power of cats on YouTube, check out this video on my random crap channel Viewballs that is a very basic COMMENTARY on another cat video...
http://youtu.be/TUPMW5J8Y_Q
23,768 views.  That's like half as many views as every Falkie video ever, COMBINED.

Put your cats to work, Falkie!  They're freeloaders.  Make videos of them watching other cat videos.  (And remember to turn your iPhone ninety degrees!)

Funnily enough, I got a non-skippable ad before that cat commentary video.
