The only solution to the problem of a thread becoming gentrified and tame is to introduce some kind of new drama- some divisive posts and a little opposition.  This is the one area where George did do some actual WORK, and nobody else has stepped up to the plate.  Unless you are willing to make more of an effort than George, it is destined to become a friendly hangout. (I never thought that I would use Senda as a measuring stick for effort expended.)

In short, we need a villain.  Until such time, there is only love (and coffee.)

I see Jason Callan as the future of the BellaHaven thread, not the Falkie thread.  I could be wrong.  Maybe Jason is not the Mr Politeness Man that he appears to be on his videos, and in his posts.  We need to know more to make a true analysis.  We need to know all about his life, his successes, his failures, his dreams, his oddities, disturbing secret habits and all that stuff.  We need tours of his living space, and we need to meet all the significant people in his life, and learn all about them too.  We need videos of him out doing his shopping, in a unique way, like George does, videos of the pavement, Creative stuff like that.

Has the new adopted character full of "love and peace" rubbed off?  Is it a little like the kind of "method acting" rumoured to have driven some actors to the edge and beyond where you have absorbed aspects of your new personality?

So, what is the future of this thread?  Do we all really need to chip in and pay George Senda a monthly stipend to appear in this thread with his trademark anger while spouting "STFU, it's none of your business"?

Can you imagine what that would say about the posters here?  To pay a man to abuse him?  It would feel a little like midget tossing (Hey, I'm not judging- I have paid good money to toss the occasional "little person.")  Paying others to abuse them may not be the oldest profession in the world (or, in a way, it might be the same thing...)  Either way, it is done between groups of consenting adults, and it does not hurt anybody (though you do run a high risk of catching something you don't necessarily want both from the hooker on the corner, and from shitposting with George...)
