On a serious note though, Falkie, I hope you're reading this. Or if someone has contact with him, could you forward this to him? This is what you need to get rid of your flea problem: Advantage II:

It comes in tiny plastic tubes and you squeeze the contents onto the space between the cat's shoulder blades(that way they can't lick it off)(make sure you are getting it on the skin, not the fur). Maximum of two days the fleas will be gone. Usually the fleas are gone a lot sooner. They didn't have this stuff when you were younger but they do now. If you don't believe me about the effectiveness, just read the reviews on Amazon. Also the fleas won't even jump on the cats and without food they'll take off maybe even leaving your apartment flea free.

A few things to note:

Don't put it on a cat with an open sore.

Advantage comes in sizes depending on the weight of your cat. That cute black and white one you hold sometimes looked small enough for the one I linked. Do a little research to see which ones you need for your cats.

It seems to be more important than cat food at this point. The place is hopping with fleas. It is about $10 per dose. How many inside cats does he have? I can't keep track. He will have to do it for a few months though because of the millions of fleas leaving eggs as we speak. It will be noticeable though, the drop in fleas jumping around in two days.

I think cats know when you are doing something that helps them. It might not be immediate like food, but after a day or two they'll get the connection. I got kittens once that had a huge ear mite problem (10+, the vet wrote), so twice a day I had to squeeze a semi-liquid into their ears. They hated it but I think they appreciated the results and kind of knew I wasn't torturing them for no reason.

That's rough. It's hard enough with a human that has diabetes. I've heard of cats with it. Did you have to take her blood sugar levels? Also, your respectability meter has really risen with me. Usually with me people start pretty high then go down...or not.

Also putting flea drops on his cats will improve his quality of life because he won't be infested with fleas either so they've got that going for them. It takes one minute once a month and ten dollars per cat.

It was not so bad. She helped by reminding me a few times and always sitting like a good girl for them.
With cats yo do not monitor  blood sugar all that much. Yo monitor behavior. Watch that her water intake does not rise, that she eats right and does not get lethargic. The wasted expense was the worst part. Insulin comes in one size only and it lasts up to three months. A human would use it up but a cat just uses a tiny amount at a time. So every three months I had to get a new one for a few hundred bucks and toss a nearly full vial out.

Oh and I know Advantage is easy but it would not be easy for Senda. It is more than he can manage.
