If you haven't heard, Art posted a message on facebook. The bottom line is that he isn't going to fight the non-compete with SiriusXM. He is effectively done. Being 68yrs old, I don't see Art coming back.

C2C w/ Art Bell was a radio program I enjoyed very much. It was with me during my growth from being a late night techno-grommit to being a day-time professional from 1994-2000. It is a memory of a slice of time when things were a little more fun and a little more simple. When Art announced his comeback on SiriusXM, I was quite happy. It was a way to re-live a little bit of the old days. Unfortunately things didn't work out. Personally I do not understand the perceived technical issues that lead to Art Bell's departure after 6 weeks. But that is neither here nor there. That is the past, whether valid or not.

It's been a fun 20yr ride. I only know Art from the radio and he's been an entertaining guy. No reason not to wish him a good rest of his life radio-free. Thanks man!

It has been a fun ride, I do wish it had more radio during the battle, and I loved the SiriusXM show as well as all radio you have been on.

Very nice podcast and Art Bell interview. But honestly, it seemed like more of the same.
** Streaming issues that no one seems to have.
** Still have no clue if he is seriously going to fight the non-compete.

I don't frequent this forum - But I'm so GLAD I caught this..........I couldn't believe Art called in and it was so great to hear him answer the exact questions I would have asked. And for the person who mentioned that he has no interest in the genre unless it's hosted by Art Bell. You articulated that well and I agree. I have't been able to get interested unless Art is hosting the show.......

I'm thinking that the encouragement and support Art received (from BellGab and others) changed his mind about doing something about the NC.  He didn't have a lawyer when he was on with MV, but has subsequently posted he's retained counsel.  I think that's the most recent "update".  Art hasn't even signed on since the 15th, so I'm in agreement with those who feel he's not engaging anyone on attorney's orders. 

And, I think since there was such a backlash when he stunned everyone by leaving, he'll give a definitive statement rather than leave us hanging.  I hope.
