Your first idea is a grand one.
The second one, not so much.  Art can afford an attorney.  But, if at any point he does ask for donations for legal fees, I'll be the first to throw in.  Or is it "throw out?"  Aldous said "throw up" but that was for something else lol.

Even though I want Art back, as much or more than most of you, I believe he is doing the right thing by not fighting.  He has a little girl.  He doesn't have that many years left, he needs to focus on the important things in life.  Giving his energy away to Noory and C2C would be a waste of that time.

But, if that is what he wanted to do, I'd fork it over.  I like your first idea, too.

I don't think it is right for Sirius to do what they did to Art. It isn't fair that George gets to stream on his own site and they wouldn't let Art do it. Something is rotten here. I have been a streamlink member for years when it started with Art and always hoping He would return. Now that I am disabled and have time to listen more all I have left is George. I just hope He can have on some good guests and not all the numerology and vitamin shows geez.

I dont see why we can´t all donate $20 or whatever you have at this point. MV can open a PayPal account and accept the donations, provided hes willing to do so, but I think we can all agree that MV would be a trustworthy ¨escrow¨ manager.
from $5-50 or more (if you can) I think we can gather some quick loot quickly to assist. Art claims he has money, yada, yada, but at the end of the day, he has a wife and daughter and I´m sure he doesn´t want to blow too much of his cash when he lawyer-ups. If we raise a few thousand this would take some stress off of him.

On a side note, if every single user (all 2682 of them) on this site donated $50, we would make $134,000 haha.

I know this isn´t close to possible because not everybody has $50 to toss to a donation pool and I´m pretty sure a lot of those accounts are ghost accounts and not actively using this board anymore, but lets just say for conservative´s sake.. if 1500 users donated $25 we can get close to $40,000 for art´s lawyer expenses....we can even spread this concept on social media sites and get more through them (and even grow this community by advertising the url, etc)

do you guys see this idea taking off or should I just shut up now and give up hope on lawyer donations? imagine art having some financial support to make our goal (getting him out of his nc clause) a step closer? the more money he has, the more experienced lawyer from Beverly Hills he can get, one that is a pro at dealing with entertainment contracts.

this idea kinda rubs me the wrong way.  i just don't like the idea of people donating money to get a millionaire out of a no-compete contract he chose to sign.  i don't mind if people try to organize such a thing through the forum, but i wouldn't personally want to be involved with it.
