Some work of a young animator i hope to study with this fall. I find out Monday. I HATE to wait on stuff like this! If i don't get in, the search for "one more class" will start yet again and I've been though that three times so far this semester.

A loooooooooooong freaking time. For a simple animation, figure an hour, on average, per second of film. Two animators worked on this baby for , I think, 10 days straight. Once a project like this starts, you gt naps and potty breaks but most figure out some way to eat & work at the same time. And Oh - BTW - "work" doesn't begin until the story board is done.

If you've never seen a story board - this is the first one I ever did - it's simple - and a bit crude. It still took longer than I care to think about.

The two classes I didn't get into - I had problems with schedule conflicts - and one was canceled. With this one, they will choose 12 people, and I had to submit a portfolio.

Good luck Ev. i notice that you use the name Ev in your story board, good continuity. that story board stuff looks more complicated than i thought. From idea to actualisation is not as simple as "i want this to happen, do it for me tech person. Ta da."

Apart from wishing you good luck, I must confess to being envious. Of such an opportunity, of your youth (or your tooth, whichever you prefer), of the chance to have it all still ahead of you, a life a happy life. Filled with toads.

Mordred? You've missed some of my posts - which is understandable. It's true I have time ahead of me, we all do. But, I'm 54. No lie. I went back to college (for the Xth time - can't even RECALL how many tires I've had) when my son started.
