I Heard your music on the Spec Sheet and I really enjoyed it... it's always good to hear a Hammond!!! thanks  ;)
by the way, anyone that wants to hear it can stream those albums for free at
www.thesatellite4.bandcamp.com
The band is no more as of a few months ago, but the music's still fresh.
I'm proud of my guitar work on there.  Not bad for a hillbilly.
You can also buy a digital copy for pretty cheap if it suits you.

Marc.Knight

The guy that's on right now is....  nearing suckage.  Sorry.

RoseGirl

You don't want a jingle like that, RoseGirl, better to do with out.  ;)  Maybe you could hire The General to knock something out for you?

RoseGirl

I think I shall remain jingle-less. How very sad.

I bought and am downloading "Street Food." I'll buy the other two as soon as I get this freelance check I've been waiting for.

Good sound â€" I  like that stuff!

Listening to the stream on Art Bell's dark matter site.

Did I just hear them say???
"There are many different types of UFOs and sometimes they mate and create crop circles"

???

That's totally true, and I'm nothing but excited about it.
It's just hard to eat paranormal hamburger after you've tasted paranormal filet mignon.
But this is a budding enterprise that I'm sure will grow into something awesome.

You said it, General.

Will do.  Fresh guitar work is always needed.  Very listenable, very.  You going to get another band together, or is it too soon, or is that prying?

Marc.Knight

I hope Keith is giving the new lineup a 90 day probation period.  There are a few that make Noory sound professional. I know, I'm being mean.

Thanks for posting. I notice Charles van Zandt is credited on some of the tracks. Any relation to the Sopranos/Lillihammer actor Steven van Zandt?

Yeah, but if we want DMN to be something great... this kind of thing needs to be said.

Yes, some of the ones I sampled today were really weak.

This thing is going to take time folks. This is pretty much uncharted territory.
Obviously some of these podcast with all due respect are not world beaters.
Someone posted earlier in this thread as a joke, but I kinda liked it, that this could be run like a reality competition show.  We could listen and vote on what shows we want to move on to the next round, and what shows we want to kick off the island.  That really would make this a different animal...a hybrid of paranormal podcasts and an interactive reality show with listeners determining the outcomes.  By the time Art is able to stream his own show, if he chooses to, we would have sharpened his Dark Matter Network into the best of the best, all polished and ready to go for him.

I remember Art talking on some of his older shows about how he and Ramona watched and enjoyed reality shows, like American Idol.  Then, there was the time that VH1 contacted Art about being on "The Surreal Life" show.  Ramona wanted him to do it, but Art decided against it, due to his reclusive personality.  He was pretty tickled at the idea, though.  From what I'm picking up, Art (and Paul) aren't involved in the Dark Matter Network - more that it's something Keith is doing, is that right?

(Skip to 4:08 for a commercial break that's neat to look at)

If it says Libby's, Libby's, Libby's on the label. label, label, you will love it, love it, love it on the table, table, table!

WILL YOU PEOPLE GIVE ME SOME SPACE PLEASE!?!?!?
Just kidding.  Nothing in the works.  I got tired of being in bands.
I've been doing it for a lot of years and needed a break.

No, this van Zandt is little known and totally amazing Texas soul singer Charles van Zandt.
And definitely not related, as Charles is black and Steven is not.

I don't want to throw too many stones. But I just listened to one of the shows. Man, there is definitely some room to improve.

Yes, but we have to give the people time to grow and learn, and for word to spread amoung the Paranormal, Art Bell Guest circles, that here are some people that would be willing to have you on their show, thus giving you exposure to Art Bell fans, and another outlet to espouse your ideas and thoughts. With time hopefully the shows will improve; not only that the weak, just wanna make a buck guest will go away.

I do hope that the gabcast makes it's debut with the new host, eddie, onan, and b-dubb.

The "show" before the one currently playing is perhaps candidate #1 for deletion.  I think we were listening to the same show.

Heather Wade

I like the idea of introducing competition.  Incidentally, quality should follow.

I agree.
Some polite criticism is good.
Let's not go all Chunga on their asses tho.
This is bound to improve.

Perhaps, but they've either "got it" or they don't.  This includes actual motivation to do the show and enough brain power and speaking ability to keep the average listener tuned in.  I don't hear many people willing to give Noory time to "grow and learn".  I agree with a previous poster: DMN needs to be great, and our feedback will help it on its way.

I like it a lot.  Also, Keith doesn't actually have a personal interest in paranormal subject matter.  We (Art Bell fans) are most likely better judges of what makes a good show, and what fans of the genre want to hear.  It would also increase audience size and investment in the success of the network.
