And with that, we have the first time in recorded history of Noory being accused of being a "business guy."

LOL that's a good one thanks! Sorry if I incorrectly categorized the Snorey. The taxonomy of boring types, is well, boring ;) today I'm captain obvious, sorry blame it on my cold.

I am not a fan of Mr. Noory. I think he is a company man and a tool to the end, in the great tradition of Jay Leno, Rick Berman, et al. I hate what Coast has become under his watch, particularly its transmogrification from a primarily supernatural/paranormal show with occasional conspiracies to a fringe-right-pandering show which, when it does cover paranormal topics, does so from a vapid, shallow, New Age perspective. And I think the criticisms of his interviewing styles, his lack of prep/research, his pandering to the LCD, and his general lazy/phoning it in are valid and overall speak volumes about the man and his abilities.

I've given him credit when I felt it was due. I feel in his first 2-3 years on Coast, he wasn't as bad as he's since become. I believe the reason for that is primarily because Art was still doing weekends and probably exercised at least a degree of influence, if not control, and Noory was still respectful/intimidated. And also, the listener base at that time was still primarily the one which Art had built. So Noory had to be on his toes. But as Art dwindled down to 10-15 shows a year and then quit altogether, Noory has "made the show his own", to the loss of everyone who cares about quality radio of any kind (nevermind quality paranormal radio).

I also gave him credit for coming here into the snake pit, and appearing on MV's podcast. That was ballsy. Part of me says, "He's a multi-millionaire with a multi-year contract, so what does he have to lose by engaging with the 'enemy'?" On the other hand, what does he have to gain? Even the "good PR" explanation doesn't really hold up when you look at the size of the corporate muscle behind him. A few hundred, even a few thousand, Art Bell fans don't hold up to the millions of listeners at Clear Channel's beck and call. (Unless there is more going on behind the scenes than we are aware of.)

Whatever else he may be, he's human, I'm sure he's as complex as anyone else, including Art--and certainly, he has his own agendas and motivations.

My conclusion is that it's all psychological. Either he *enjoys* playing the game and baiting us, or else he is driven by some compulsive need to explain and/or prove himself to the people who profess to hate him most. (Remember the old adage that you can get 100 compliments but it takes only one negative comment to wipe them all out.) I'm no psychologist, but I suspect he's deeply insecure, and that one negative comment bugs him more than 1000 compliments bolster him up.

Is he truly a "nice guy"? I honestly think he thinks so. I'm sure his mom thinks so. And met socially in a bar or someplace, I'm sure he'd shake your hand and smile and hold the door for you. But there's a difference between "nice guy" and "good person". But I'm not going to try to parse all those split hairs. Ultimately, it's between his own conscience and whatever Higher Power may exist.

And since actions do speak louder, clearly, to me, he's neither a nice guy nor a good person, at least when it comes to what he is endorsing, tacitly or otherwise, when it comes to how his company is treating Art. (Nevermind what may be said behind the scenes.) And his own actions re: Art, specifically in the Oates matter, speak volumes. I absolutely don't blame Art for withdrawing his "nice guy" view of George.

And the irony here is that George and PremRat/CC have lost the PR battle, for sure, and if anything, have created the very monster they feared (as in #freeartbell). That's usually how it goes, isn't it?

I love Art Bell more than I hate George Noory, in fact, I don't hate Mr. Noory. You won't find me spewing the vitriol his way as some other here do. Because even though I agree that "George Noory Sucks", I'm here as an Art Bell fan, not a George Noory hater. I realize to some that's one and the same, but to me, supporting the positive is way more important than piling on the negative. Because if you support the positive, ultimately, the negative will just fall away like the dead, useless skin it is.

That figures. Humans are sick. No wonder the star people don't speak to us.

But they do, and this is what they're saying ....

I am really trying to figure you (Noory) out .  You know that Art has an institutional hatred of Premier....

... and is no fan of Noory.  You know it, I know it, a lot of folks here know it, and, yes, even Noory knows it but 'ol honest Abe knew what he was talking about.

there seems to be 2 different Free Art Bell facebook pages ... either there should be one page or everyone should signup on both

There's bound to be more than one with so many people involved. Fave and I bave both started one independently of one another. Join them both. The more the merrier. Those who don't find one, will find the other.

It's important to remember a negative opinion of Snorey's value as a broadcaster doesn't make it a personal attack upon his character. People have different tastes. Frankly I'm sure the dairy farmers of america are grateful as hell for him making sure the bipedal bovines sleep peacefully.

Just make it a routine to repost #freeartbell pics and comments whenever you notice they thin out on the siriusxm fb page... or C2C if you are hitting them up as well.  I was thinking about doing both siriusxm and c2c but I don't really consider c2c's page even worth it.

Ha ha.

My favorite one: Don't blame Jazmunda #freeartbell

Lot of truth with this.

It is imposible not to relate chasing the dragon to Art at this point.

That being said if the "supply" is available we will all be at the corner.

Yes I need my Bell fix.  I'd gone cold turkey over the last few years, with occasional slips.  Tried in vain to feed the cravings with a little hit of Noory, a puff of Punnett, or even a pinch of Wells.  Knapp, that's pretty good stuff, stronger than most.  But nothing satisfies like pure Pahrumpian Bell.

It is really important to get the word out there. Most of these people have many followers. Remember to be respectful to these people as we want their help to get the word out. Don't flood them or spam them. We want and need their help.

Remember to include the hashtag #FREEARTBELL and also if you want add in @SIRIUSXM so that they know we are out there.

Perhaps vary you tweets and don't send them all at once to bypass Twitter SPAM Filters

BUMP

Remember to vary your posts and don't send to everyone all at once. You don't want to be caught by Twitter SPAM filters.
