I've just got a puny Smith & Wesson revolver.

I don't think there is a better revolver made than Smith & Wesson.

Love! Harry Bosch! And.....Jack Reacher!  You know, you could be right about it being Sundays. In December I'd typically play 20 jobs...so quite often I worked Sundays, Thursday nights..you name it. I'm sure that's where I first heard Art, though. On the white MGB car radio!

I want to know what year he started nationally on DL.

Harry Bosch is totally cool.  So is Elvis Cole (he of the Robert Crais mystery novels, although I know a lot of the readers of that series prefer Joe Pike.  Not me.  Elvis is the man!).

I'm starting to wonder if that mad conspiracy that came up earlier, the one about the person being hassled by the Premiere Radio person, was a mad ploy to get us to go over to the Dark Matter forum and actually read it.   (If so, I didn't fall for it.  Haha!!).

Hi everyone. I know this isn't the right thread, but I am posting this here because I know everyone will see it. I have an URGENT prayer request for my mom.
...  :'(  Thank you.   :(

Sorry to hear that.  Hope mom will be o.k.  I know the feeling, having had several relatives pass from heart problems. Take care.

The one who's had her computer hacked by Sirius, or the one who's being stalked by a person at Premiere Radio?  (I'm more inclined to believe the latter:  could be a secretary just thinking she's having a bit of fun).

(Or someone trying to make that person THINK they were an employee of Premiere Radio in order to scare them, which is more likely still).
Premiere Radio Networks has 9 corporate offices. Funny, not one of them is in Ohio.   Unless the mod is punking the newb (which must be tempting at times),  maybe the mod intended to say that the IP was near a Clear Channel station in Ohio, since Premiere is a subsidiary of CC.   The thing is, CC has over 5,000 stations and it would be hard to have an IP that wasn't near a CC station.  Hell, if that's the criteria for accusing someone of being a Premiere employee, I guess I'm a Premiere employee too.

Art, please get Peter Davenport to interview you and tell your story to him!

It may not be about a UFO sighting... but it is OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Hey Munda, you should have left the ghost a roach.

That used to be on the menu. Haven't partaken since Feb 2012. Haven't smoked cigs since Christmas 2012. Haven't heard of "Roger" since about then either. Freaky thing that I didn't mention to Art. I have thick hedges that surround the  house. That is where I threw most of the butts. One day my nephew was over and we were having a kick of the football (yes we kick footballs not throw them) and it went into the hedges. I went in to retrieve it and there was a whole pile of cigarettes neatly in a pile. This was before the Roger doesn't like you comment so I never thought anything of it. I just thought our gardener did it but was always wondering why he didn't throw it in the trash. Food for thought. Mmmmmmm food. Did we ever find out what Art had for dinner?

I carry a Makarov, have fired at least 5K rounds through it without a single glitch.  The Walther is a fine weapon, but leave it to the Ruskies to make a simple, robust copy of it.

Agreed.  I have the p 64. It's a  nice little gun.

Don't worry art will not be the pope for long because he will quit in six weeks.

Makarov is a beautiful little pistol. Love that damn gun. Never had an issue and it's got an easy pull.

Probably because greasy tommy was trying to get a date with the tribble and scared it off.

I agree... But this isn't Gun Gab, so let's get back on topic and mix some Art in with the gun talk.

I posted this on Bell Gab on October 10th:

Hope history doesn't repeat itself, but if Art's past actions are any guide, it will only be a 'matter' of time before it all blows apart again.
Until then, enjoy the 'ride'

Until John Lennon died, I Dreamed that the Beatles would get back together. After his death I hoped that hand guns would be outlawed. What a fool I was.

Today I have a concealed weapons permit... And have no dreams.

IMHO MY light weight hi tech Smith and Wesson snuby 357mag is the best Blue Jeans front pocket concealed weapon. It also shoots 38 specials. The bullets weigh more than the gun.

Oh, cool!  Me, too.  I hope you like him.

He usually comes on about 7:05 pm, after the top of the news.  I hope he's not too ranty tonight:  that can turn off new people to him.  If he is, rest assured he's only like that sometimes, and the rants don't last that long.  He's very bright and has a lot of interesting ideas about things.  I enjoy listening to him.

I will warn you, though:  he's not a huge fan of the current Administration.  And he does discuss politics quite a bit; at least as how they affect the regular ol' folks of this here United States of America.

And he called us Bell Gap.

What a loser.
And if I am not mistaken you let sleeping dogs "lie" not "lay".

I Don't Need To Believe, Or Even Enjoy, Most Of Art's Guests To Appreciate The Radio Mastery Of Art Bell.  He's One In A Million.   I Can Snark On Chumlee And Weeber For Hours, And It Doesn't Take One Thing Away From The Fact That Every Single Day That Art Is On The Air Is A Day To Be Treasured.  We Never Know How Many More Days We Will Have Him, And The Last 10 Years Have Been Much The Poorer For The Lack.

I wouldn't mind having a Glock, just coz Harry Bosch carries one (my idol).  I'd carry it when I make the rounds of the dark alleys of Oakland in the wee hours, and feel protected.  That and a pitbull, and I'd be set.

You live in Oakland? I lived in Oakland for 17 years. On Shattuck Ave 1 block over from The Starry Plow, 2 different houses in Piedmont... A big huge beautiful house on the corner of E.22nd st. I used to go to the Grand Lake Theater all the time. I miss Oakland. Never thought i hear myself say that  ???
Where do you live?

I had a red nose pit too. She died in May and was the love of my life.
Thats so funny you said that.
