Iron sights all the way for me. The rest is so much fluff to go wrong for lot's of cash.
Unless you are shooting more than 300 yards a lot, but the weapon you described sounds like a carbine which isn't the best 300 plus yard shooter.
Sounds like you are looking for a civilian model M4 more than AR 15.

I love the iron sights on that piece. I never had a problem with the 300yard targets, just the 30yard lol go figure. It wasn't just me either. Those close range targets suck.

They charged you six months in advance, even though you were trying to get them to only charge you month-by-month?   Yet another example of their very poor business practices.  So glad I didn't subscribe with my credit card, ever, and so very glad that they didn't manage to "hack it," either.  Feeling lucky.

Actually now that i think about it it was 3 months in advance. I was an otr truckdriver at the time and have had an account with them every since i started driving. I have always forbidden them to automatically debit my account. I was month to month so i forbade them each and every time i called in to pay my bill. They charged me extra to do this. Instead of 9.00 something they charged me 14.00 something but i didnt care. I hate people going into my account like that. I think they are just so used to roping people in that way...they want every one on automatic debit. They did it twice... Then my card expired.

I waited over a year then someone discovered that my radio had been left on and turned it off. I figured ok, well i just got a years worth of free radio so now i feel better. Im a driver in the bakken now and wanted radio in my truck. So i bit the bullet and braced myself for another irritating experience.

Just before i heard that Art was coming back i decided to see if i could stomach C2C again and added internet streaming to my account so i could listen from home. The rep told me all about how....'Oh YES. You will have all the stations at home that u have in your car! ' I said Really?? I will get 256? She assured me it was so so imhad her add it. Only to find immediately after that not only did that not include 256 bit a bunch of other channels as well ( probably all the Clear channels). So then i had to turn around and hassel with cancelling the internet part 10 min after i signed up. Yep. Livid yet again.

A week later Art came back and it was to a channel that was included. All my past bad experiences drifted into the background. I called them up and added it back. I love Art Bell.

As an added note... I repeatedly lost connection when i listened to Art thru Xms app on my PC. Every 5 min or so. So i started listening thru my ipad and iphone and everything worked fine aside from the occasional timeouts. I think it was Xms crappy app for the pc.

If Art WAS let out of his contract, it would be interesting to see how large the caller pool on the web stream is. It seems to me that, though free, less people would be exposed than on Sirius (regardless of streaming issues). Certainly it'd be more of a hassle to tune in for those truckers going 70 mph down the highway than it is just hitting a preset button on their satellite receivers.

Well they'd have to get that CCrane thingy to get the screaming streaming wi fi hi fi no fi low fi hook up for... $99.95.

The only possible conspiracy I ever came across was that George changed his profile avatar to the crown before Art's Halloween night announcement.
He sent me an private message that night, and his crown was on there.
Then, Art posts about something possible going on behind the scenes. It's the only indicator I've had that something phishy was going on.

As I recall, Dreamland was on my radio on Sunday nights.  I think some markets ran the previous week's Dreamland in a Saturday night slot, though.  I seem to recall that, but I might be remembering incorrectly.

Art, one thing that is a shame is with this storm that could have killed my loved ones in Cebu City, if you had been on the air, you would have been able to raise awareness and get people to send help.  I know you had to do this, but the timing is cruel because you care about the people there just like I do, and too many Americans will just say, let them suffer...  I am so thankful that the storm didn't destroy Cebu City, if it had been just 20 miles or so further south, Alain might have been killed (my wife there).  What angers me, is in another forum, the attitude is tough luck by many of the far right wing people.  Convenience Christians I call them...
