I've been listening to this show for a few months now and I must say I am very impressed. Very professional sounding, great interview technique, engaging and thought provoking. Better than a lot of the actual "professionals" on "real" radio. Ok. Enough ass kissing. Keep up the good work.

Much appreciated.  :)

BATEMAN NEEDS OUR REVIEWS AND ALL THE STARS!!!

I tried to add a review but I don't know if it worked  :'(

It's interesting that different reviews come up in different iTunes regions. I particularly enjoyed this one from the UK:

QuotePresenter knows his stuff, a steady listen. The only thing wrong is the plug every week for his undergarments.

haha. I always thought they called them knickers or pants, depending on gender. Keep up the good work. Dark Weekend/Dark City worldwide.
Now for some new shows!!! ;)

I demand them here in this thread  ;) So far, batting a good average. (Kidding Bateman but your recent shows have shown it. Kidding, again. Keep up the great work.) ps:  Just wait for the ratings folks for that BBCI or Danny Casolaro or INSLAW  show!!) ;D ;D ;D

I'm happy to post them here but I'm not sure if Bateman wants that or if the other show that must never be named might poach them.

A danger, for sure. Poaching has been done. But the show that-shall-not-be-named cannot approach same in value. If anything it would only generate more ratings for Bateman's shows when interviews are compared. But I understand your hesitancy.

as a plot against art bell , the unnamed show poached guests. recently it has poached a host, presumably to annoy bellgab...
and yes indeed the unnamed show did try to poach bateman too, who refused.

Daggit

Seems like they should change their name to Poach to Poach AM.

Low Key

How often does the show get posted ? Been checking Dark City Sound Cloud and a couple weeks have went by. Listened to replay on DMRN and it was a show from awhile back. ??????

Bateman takes the occasional week or two off. Or sometimes doesn't get them to Keith on time.
He is working on his version of a Hawaiian studio only it's in his home not Hawaii. that should alleviate things.

For a guest suggestion you can always just pm him, try to include contact info.

YESSSSSS! My iTunes reviewwwww went through  8)

You can actually tell the host reads the books of his guests and does additional research. He asks intelligent questions that get the most out of the interview and guest. The show is well paced with fantastic bumpers that set the mood.

Sounds fab! My husband asked me to put on a Dark Weekend show a few hours ago, but I told him we'd listened to all of them already.  :-[

Well that's cool and all but, why can't you do more shows?

Does Mucklestone know men only buy underwear once every 50 years?

Cause:
Does many hours of show prep, learning about guest's background and reading their books, etc.
Doesn't have a large staff.
Limited income from shows.
Has a 'real' life too.

Meaning: zero staff. People don't realize how time consuming this is. 7 hours of my Saturday were spent on this.

That's probably more hours than George has ever put into Coast.

Also I agree with the dubb. That show was excellent.

Show suggestions:

Robert Young Pelton - World's Most Dangerous Places

Don Zaidle - Dangerous Animals

Michael Newton - A History of Feral Children

Also see if you can reach out to someone from this scam baiting site: http://www.419eater.com/html/ethics.htm

at least you do show prep beyond googling the guests name.
unlike some other late night hosts , whos show perp consists of 5 minutes of googleing and a turkee sammich.
