The Recluse is the one I would be more worried about.
Got hit twice by recluse. First time festering, painful wound for weeks until I found "magic powder" at the vet. Mostly lime powder and stuff. Dried up and healed the necrosis. Second time I cauterized the fesh sting with a lit Camel cigarrete. Ouch but definitely the best solution.

Buh-leaf me, if EVERYTHING had happened to me like Forrest Gump, I wouldn't be posting here, would I ? I'd be rich and sitting by the pool in Vegas with a drink in one hand and a hot babe on my side.
Specious logic and a thinly veiled ad hominem attack on  me as well.
With that in mind, I reply thusly and thrust my Art Bell admantium sword at thee !
Take that foul doubter !!!

I also got 7 scorpion stings in six weeks. The last 2 were not too painful but gave a hell of a giddy buzz.

SpaceRadomir

Ugghhhh.... my stomach got twisted at George Adamski part. Even though there are SOME good videos of his, the man was a fraud for the most part.

May I ask what the hell you were doing when you stung that many times?

Living/working in the Sonoran Desert. The last 2 stings were in bed. (They drop from ceilings). The weird thing is that I lived in the desert all my life and didn't get stung until my 30's, then bam- 7 doses!  Heh, the Mrs. And I are scorpios.
PS Got hit in a vein in my foot 3 years ago and the pain was hallucinogenic, I'm not kidding. I was experiencing visual and tactile not-there-isms. Pain lasted at top levels for 8 full hours. Holy crap!

Maybe you should try sweeping the cobwebby corners

Did you have Billy Jack style visions  ;D

I wish. The pain manifest as lightning shots of spider legs in my visual field and (it seemed to me) as bolts of electricity through my limbs. But the creepiest thing was that I could feel insectoid legs crawling under my skin as if they were trying to pop through from inside my flesh. It was so real that I would turn on a light to look at my skin to check if I could see stuff moving from the inside. Sick.

The Alex Jones school of logic

It's on record, okay? Look, I'm trying to wake people here who waste precious God given free time! Alright, John from Cleveland, you're on the air.

I just want to tell you that I like you very much, sir.

Cuz Richard is fun to listen to even though he's very delusional. 8)

Oh, it can really vary widely though. Remember when he was pimping the Mission to Mars movie? He was practically rolling over and barking in an attempt to imply that if we all just bought enough tickets at the box office, it just might convince NASA to...

Oh, wait... which one? Never mind. I'm cringing into my seat and getting the nightsweats, just thinking about it.

Wow that's quite a description. Pretty nasty.

midnight

I've heard this guest before, and he's usually very good and entertaining.  But last night he sounded bored or tired or I'm not sure what--like he really didn't care.  There was no enthusiasm in his voice at all.  I felt it immediately, as I'm sure Art must have too.  It was strange.

Wintermute

Art finishing the the tough "where is the evidence for the audience" question, then cutting him short was the perfect way to move on. Timothy Good wasn't entertaining, and came off delusional and asleep at the wheel.

as much as i hate to defend hoagland, he does at least present pictures and whatnot.

lonevoice

I don't mind RCH all that much.  His goofy giddiness makes me laugh, and nearly every show you get to hear Art say something like, "No, Richard, it looks like rocks to me," leaving Hoagland momentarily speechless.  Whatever else Hoagland may be, he's almost always enthusiastic and as eager as a puppy dog.  I'm rarely bored by Hoagland's antics, whereas Timothy Good truly made me sad.  He was just somnambulistic and befuddled.

there is only so much " a friend of a friend told a good friend crap Art can take I think." There was way too much of that and "I cant prove any of it" as well as "Back in the fifities a good friend told me that there were a hundred witnesses to the crap a friend of a friend saw.

The General

I feel bad for Timothy Good getting prematurely shit canned.  Poor guy.
I was enjoying his stories.  I like stories.  I don't always need pictures.
I tell you one thing, he was infinitely more charming than Richard Hoagland.

Afixer

I certainly mean no harm ... but you guys need to reel yourselves in a bit. Damn., Arts Back!
He can't hit a home run at every at bat. Last nights show was seriously serious! At least Art had the good sense to chuck tonight's B.S. I'm jus sayin'. Peace Ya'll.

Indeed. I felt bad for him too. I wormholed Art a post that I left here about how disappointed I was that he dumped him so he could talk to some truck drivers. But to be honest, I quickly got over it because those open lines were pretty damn entertaining.

jblank

The problem is, how much anecdotal "friend of a friend of a friend told me this in 1958" stuff can you tolerate? At some point, you kind of need some meat on the subject, not just tidbits and old quotes. This is where so many of Art's guests fail. Personally, I don't mind the UFO/ET show's, but they all end up with too many people saying virtually the same thing, and if you're a natural UFO/visitation skeptic, like I am and everyone with a rational mind should be, if you can't produce anything more than, "I was told by someone", then I just quickly lose interest. Theories and hypothesis are fine, laugh out loud claims that aren't substantiated in even the slightest way, get old, and I think last night Art had enough of it.
