If you run the skype voice Loopback test and it sounds good, you should be fine. You sounded fine when you called into MITD. Did you use Skype for that?

No, that was just my cell phone with no skype.

I use a 10 year old logitech USB headset Mike and it sounds fine. I think you can find one for about $25.

If you are using a mic with separate headsets you should be ok. When you run into problems with a mic is when you have external speakers. That causes feedback.
