Damn good show tonight! An inschtant claschic!  Best one since the Art n George interviews.   IMHO.

Glad you liked it, sir. Thank you.

For the record, I never spread Falkie's story to anyone behind his back.   My guess is White Crow asked about it based on the Wikipedia article, which Falkie approved every word of and asked to be put online.

Are you kidding? They should go back to discussing their farts and tummy troubles.

BTW!!  The RODE podcaster is a much better mic for these kinds of broadcasts. It's an Australian microphone. Mr. Munda should know that. It also has a fantastic desk boom.

Who called and asked about the mayonnaise?

Whitecrow.. I mean, Bateman

Are you implying that Bateman is White Crow? I doubt it.

The Islamic Golden Age
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_Golden_Age
Quote
This period is mostly taken to have lasted from the 8th to 13th centuries, and sometimes extended to the 14th to 16th centuries.[1][2][3] It began with the inauguration of the House of Wisdom in Baghdad during the reign of the Abbasid caliph Harun ar-Rashid (786 to 809)

The Islamic states were the center of scientific knowledge until basically Sir Francis Bacon (1561-1626).

Here is a book on the topic. The House of Wisdom: How the Arabs Transformed Western Civilization
http://www.amazon.com/The-House-Wisdom-Transformed-Civilization/dp/1608190587

"Sophisticated and thoughtful... In The House of Wisdom, [Lyons] shapes his narrative around the travels of the little-known but extraordinary Adelard of Bath, an English monk who traveled to the East in the early 12th century.... Mr. Lyons's narrative is vivid and elegant."â€"Wall Street Journal

QuoteFor centuries following the fall of Rome, Western Europe was a benighted backwater, a world of subsistence farming, minimal literacy, and violent conflict. Meanwhile Arab culture was thriving, dazzling those Europeans fortunate enough to visit cities like Baghdad or Antioch. There, philosophers, mathematicians, and astronomers were steadily advancing the frontiers of knowledge, as well as keeping alive the works of Plato and Aristotle. When the best libraries in Europe held several dozen books, Baghdad's great library, The House of Wisdom, housed four hundred thousand. Jonathan Lyons shows just how much "Western" ideas owe to the Golden Age of Arab civilization.
Even while their countrymen waged bloody Crusades against Muslims, a handful of intrepid Christian scholars, hungry for knowledge, traveled East and returned with priceless jewels of science, medicine, and philosophy that laid the foundation for the Renaissance. In this brilliant, evocative book Jonathan Lyons reveals the story of how Europe drank from the well of Muslim learning.

Home movies?

I wish I had kept that stuff, it really does have some good design.
Alright, getting my movies confused. The 40-Year-Old Virgin was the movie where Steve Carrell collected Megos.

I haven't taken acid in over thirty years, but I would make an exception in a heartbeat if I could do it in space with a panoramic view while weightless.

And what about those mushrooms in Biosphere 2, Aldous?  That sounds like an interesting story!

Yep that's where I got the info and from a PM reply from Falkie.
I'm' a troll, but that wasn't trolling, it was an attempt to have Falkie talk about his near death and out of body experances. Unlike MV's vile trolling of Falkie, my calls to GabCast were on topic for a forum that is in a large part about paranormal subject matter.

Falkie has a wiki page? Da Phuck?

Let me guess. Co-written by area51drone and littlechris and endorsed by White Crow. The BellGab Axis of Evil is complete.

Nope, dictated by Falkie himself.  I cleaned up the wording a little bit to make it flow, but every part of that article is from and was approved by Falkie.

What do you think they are doing with the other hand, sir?
Some folks can only type one handed when the "F" word cums up.
Who would have thunk it, Falkie is crack for autist.
They just can't let it go put it down, or get enough.
And I thought I had no life... go figure.
