Pearl Jam Channel? Screw that, Art Bell Channel!

How can Pearl Jam have its own channel and not Art?  At the moment, they would probably have to license old shows from Premier, but, an Art only channel - that would be the shit.

Hey I love Pearl Jam and there is no reason why there can't be both a PJ channel and an Art Bell Channel. There's also channels dedicated to Bruce Springsteen and Elvis as well as George Carlin.

I would actually love it if Sirius bought out Art's back catalogue and the station played  a mix of Live shows, replays of new shows and the classics on shuffle.

Agreed - I like me some pearl jam, and still do...so just a little FYI - they had their own "online" pirate-radio station for many years before sirius came around.  Monkeywrench Radio - http://www.monkeywrenchradio.org/ I say ONline - only because I heard many monkeywrench songs on the net once music started to be shared back in the late 90's

I have a better idea. Convert the Indie channel into the Art Bell channel. The rest of the current lineup is almost unlistenable (is that even a word). Start with the TMZ show that proceeds Dark Matter.

Yeah, I'm not against that idea either, I've never heard anything good on the Indie channel aside from Dark Matter. What kind of a person would actually tune in to hear TMZ? It's like going to Hollywood and rolling around in the gutters. Awful.

I think it's coming sooner than we think guys - but remember he has a current 3 year deal - so probably nothing on the new channel till then....AND he can also run over his 4 hours if he wants too, only that 4 hours of show time will be for on demand....so if he were to get his own channel, it would be interesting to see how they'd do that.  I don't listen to howard so I don't know how HIS channel works for comparison.

My replay?  All shows are about 3hrs 30 minutes in length onDemand without commercials.  Mine would have cut out at the 8hr mark but since I had the streaming player up earlier than the show, it would have been 8 hrs from broadcast point...I'm not awake during the replay so I have no control over it's problems.  Unfortunately for this situation, I'm probably not going to run the nightly replays any longer.  The stream is sucking down a lot of bandwidth - and I may not even have internet next month if this government shut down things occurs.  My VA Disability check will not be paid, and I'm already -10 bux in the checking acount and it's only 9 days in! so it's def. gonna be an interesting month.

No worries, a little of both really - I'm gonna be shutting down the show after, I listen to it once in it's entirety- then probably run the one or two weekend shows, but as I await the outcome of the Govt bullshit - If things arent worked out in 6 days, I'm gonna be one of 3.2million+ people not paid by the VA for my disability.  I live right now pretty much pay check to pay check, as I've fought social security saying I can be a lampshade assembler or toymaker!?! uh, I was a fucking IT Sys Admin with a lot of other specialties that are 60-80k year jobs there fuck sticks, then I had UNemployment tell me I was too injured to work full time, so they cut off my unemployment, EVEN THOUGH i was looking for full time work, had all my history to prove I was attempting to gain employment....so now I just don't know what to do.  I've already drained two separate bank account's and borrowed a large sum of money from my dad, and he's not gonna loan me more, nor will i ask him for more..so i'll just play till the wheels fall of I suppose.

Really XM104 is Art's channel. Four live hours followed by four repeat hours, four days a week. Then has replays three days a week.

That is majority air time dedicated to Art's show.
