Well, I liked Primer so much - and have watched it many a nights - in the vein of Pi as well, nice nights to sleep dreaming of that shit - but upstream color is just creepy - but has to do with genetic manipulations that's all i'm saying!

My biggest problem with the bigfoot mythos and some other cryptozoology things is that with most other things, we would have concluded that this is not real. However, as it gets near impossible to believe anything other than they don't exist, the rules change. They live underground, they are from outerspace, they are time travelers.

Basically, with things like this that fall in the supernatural, like other mythology, as it becomes apparent this can't exist in a world with our set of physical rules, that we either evolve the mythos or rewrite it to where it is more difficult to disprove.

This should and does raise a red flag with most reasonable people. However I think people get emotionally attached to these subjects so they cling to it.

So my 2nd problem with the bigfoot mythos and such are: To these believers, there is no way you can say you don't believe it or its not real without them taking it as a personal attack. Unlike other things where there is debate. This goes with UFOs and ghosts. If you disagree with these things, it becomes automatically overly defensive (which is a tell tale sign of lying and or incredible insecurity btw).

This leads to my 3rd problem with the bigfoot mythos: Since these matters are NOT open to debate. There are these huge holes in the mythos that are impossible to ignore.

1) Where are the bones?
2) Why can't a bigfoot type creature HAVE existed but is now extinct? Thatd be more believable right? Thats a perfect out to for people that are too far to turn back. Someone found fossils somewhere and the myth took off, like dragons to dinosaur bones, mammoth skulls to cyclops, etc.
3) where are the fossils? Where did these evolve from?
4) How can we overlook all the curroption/scams in the bigfoot community, often from it's most prominent members?
5) What proof would be acceptable to disprove bigfoot to fanatics? Is it right we have conditions that would prove bigfoot but nothing in return that could disprove it to the fanatics?


Anyways...she just lost me talking about something "scientific" and then talking about biblical history and the garden of eden to make a point.

Look across the street at the Knight Rest at $35 a night, but there is still another 2 hours of Art on the radio so you are ready for another 2 hours of driving.

They were good times and I didn't realize it when they were happening.

But in all seriousness I think there was a C2C episode of bigfoot being ghosts. If they (the bigfoot believers) could all go "Yea they are ghosts!" then the bones thing is thrown out the window (along with what credibility is left but thats beside the point). It doesn't help that they can't collectively get a story moderately straight either. But I do love to listen to the crazies on Dark Matter. Welcome back Bell.

Two questions.


How often are people digging for animal bones or even artifacts in the forests of Oregon, Washington, Appalachia, etc. ? That's a serious question. I was thinking about it.


Secondly, if the big foots live underground, there are immense cave systems we haven't even discovered, and if these are intelligent creatures, why wouldn't they bury their dead in some sort of special place to them?
