West, I know what you're saying, but who said this forum was a college course?    If there is a topic you don't like, just don't read it.   I don't think Casio needs to be banned.

well yeah, no hard and fast rules about what or how many topics are posted. Redundancy is a problem though.

It seems some lack moderation, impulse control, or sensitivity to others on the forum. But all in all conversation is pretty much what takes place here... sometimes minimally. When posts are cryptic, possibly offensive, or repetitive it not only detracts from actual conversation but may turn some off.

common sense should take us a long way.

MV has a bus? I saw that one gal leave in handcuffs, but there was no bus, just a long walk toward the desert. MV didn't even look all that angry, he was just messing with his gun.

Sorry The General upset you. He is probably the most directly honest person on the forum. And more often than not his perception is dead on. Instead of rebuking him, take a lesson.

Like my dad use to say "Better to have loved and lost then to never have loved at all."
and a "faint heart has never won a lady."
It is pretty common to have your heart torn out 2 or 3 times trying to find a mate.  It's just the way of the world.  I have 3 unrequited loves.  All of them unattainable.
Passion is a funny thing.

I cant even remember the name of anyone i dated when i was high school , much less someone who i just wanted to date . ..

I enjoyed your call to Art.  I don't dislike you.  I think you have some interesting stuff to post, even.

Posting redundant threads?  We don't like that but there's not much we can do.
Posting creepy threads?  Whatever, I can ignore that.  It definitely rubs some the wrong way.
Posting personal information like someone's name and picture without their permission?
That's resulted in a ban for users before, and I hope it does in your case as well.

You forget.  Casio is a photoshop master.  Who is to say that's really her name?

Im sooo positive i would have remembered you :)

yeah with deep regret and emotional scars...

This topic has spilled over into a multitude of threads; in one of them I just declared that I was done with posting on the subject, but since thread IS the home-base, please just let me say that I am not in favor of censorship (though if one ignores a forum's rules, consequences may follow -- with freedom comes responsibility).

There are some posters who occasionally pop up who I don't spend much time reading, because their comments tend to be -- IMO -- a bit juvenile.  For instance, I don't spend time on threads where someone has posted a picture of a celebrity and then asks, "Wouldja?"  I'm not a 19-year-old fraternity boy anymore.  I don't come here to flirt, but I don't care if other people do.  Such exchanges are often entertaining.

I wade in on the political threads, sometimes irritate other people or become irrated myself, and then I take a little time away.  Typically, I resurface, old hurts heal and the game continues.  There are posters whose politics may be the polar opposite of my own but whose comments are at least articulate and entertaining and perhaps even -- Sardondi, I'm thinking of you -- might make me ponder my own perspectives.  And I usually very much enjoy the postings of such people on the general discussion threads.

Maybe it's that old "good fences make good neighbors" rule.  Being aware that our own actions sometimes affect others is a good thing.

There... I've had my say.  Peace out (on this topic).

I'm no shrink and I usually don't recommend this but, dude, hit a sweatlodge or smoke a blunt. Then post sumthin funny maybe. See you tonight. I actually like your weirdness, like I like SR-71.

area51drone

Just curious, since he hasn't logged in for a good while now.  I'm assuming he is since that thread he started was in the trash can, but I'd like some confirmation..

DanTSX

Goodnight sweet prince :'(

Ok he was a weirdo but why ban him?  Unless he did something more creepy than weird in his now deleted thread????
