I'm taking a punt; She's transgendered? If so, how is that wrong?

Ding ding ding ding ding.    Nothing wrong if he/she wants to try to be more attractive, I don't have a problem with it.  But I wouldn't bang him, let alone be in a bf/bf or husband/husband situation with him.

Oh, silly me, you are the standard by which all men will be judged and should aspire to. You asked what was wrong with her; answer, nothing. Other than they can draw vilification, ostracism, ridicule and blinkered hatred from the knuckle draggers.

Wait a second here Puddy.   I didn't say anything was wrong with him.  I said "What's wrong with this chick?"   What's wrong is that that "chick" is not a "chick" at all.  I never said he can't do what he wants or be who he wants.

When I looked at that picture, I saw a lovely young woman which is what she is.

This thread is bullshit.  It may have started innocently enough but it's spiraled out of control into unmitigated male chauvinism.  I'm done.

And that avatar of yours is so phallic.  I'm tired of it too.  Bateman can email me when your avatar is something other than a crooked penis.

Keep in mind, dude, if you expect women to wear make-up and have their hair and nails done constantly (while wearing hot pink leather dresses and tottering around on four-inch heels), you better bring your A-game, too:  trim that damn nose hair and take care of your man-scaping.  White dinner jacket and tie, freshly-polished dress shoes, cuff links, freshly-shaved face, and be doused in a manly cologne.  Otherwise, pipe down and quit while you're ahead, A51.

Personally, as I have said before, I think there's something sexy about a woman with scruffy hair, sooty soles, wearing one of my comfy T-shirts or sweatshirts, and smiling at me like she loves me.

Animal husbandry farmers have a different perspective. Some chicks are better for egg production, some better for dinner table, and under careful observation, the top rooster somehow emerges from a clutch. Fertilized chicken eggs are also used in making vaccines, but never found one in the supermarket.

Laughter.

It sucks that women have a sexual body part sticking out where everyone gets to judge and evaluate it. You men get to hide your little penises away. Meanwhile, we get mocked if we're flat-chested. So some of us get implants and then we get sh&t for having fake boobs. There's no winning until we grow up enough and get comfortable enough in our own skin not to give a damn what you think. There's no pleasing everyone anyway.

The hilarious thing is that women are getting hair ripped out of sensitive body parts with hot wax, starving themselves on diets, getting implants, injecting their face muscles with poison, getting hair extensions, eyelash extensions, lip injections, etc., etc., etc. and yet I rarely see guys doing ANYTHING to make themselves more attractive except for the occasional haircut.

The last three men I dated had significant beer bellies. I really didn't care. They were hilarious and employed and had all of their limbs, so it was all good. I have dated a one-armed man before. It was difficult, particularly swing-dancing.

God, I have no idea where I was going with this post. Sorry. I think the point was "quit being critical of our boobs"?  :-X

I have to go interview a personal chef for dogs.

Farmers don't allow chickens to get fertilized though it can happen if you keep roosters also. But farmers usually check in that case. However, go to an oriental market or travel to the Far East. Apparently they enjoy fertilized bird eggs (ducks, chickens, etc (sometimes even with the embryo fairly developed)). No thanks though I'm told there is nothing wrong with eating them health-wise. The Chinese even have a kind of egg, so-called "100 year egg" in which the egg is buried in the ground, often fertilizer, for a longtime to ferment. And then eaten. I would definitely stay away from those as Chinese fertilizer is often human, I'm told so I could see some nasty health issues there.

God damnit, I just wrote this nice post that I think would have scored some major points with you girls on this forum, and I accidentally closed the window.  Oh well, at least you no longer have to look at Michio Bukkaku.

It's also fair to say that the glossies for women that are almost all editored by women perpetuate this illusion that women have to 'be' a certain way. If they're not, then they're not in the gang. The big downside is that young girls read this crap, and at an age where they already have insecurities about everything, the last thing they need is being told that such and such (insert well known female, famous for being famous) isn't this week perfect (Pics prove it) so what chance have I? It's in my view, evil and insidious. Fashion models have been known to starve to death. Nine year old girls going on diets when there's absolutely nothing wrong with them or their diet? It's just wrong. Yet neither the magazine editors, the fashion industry nor those that promote this facile image are apologetic. The diet industry rakes in billions, yet they have absolutely no evidence to suggest what they sell works. Ultimate snake oil salesmen and women.

Typical for PR people to create conflict. Surgically altered human female breasts to make them look larger is at least a result of the direction of the path American media and Hollywood took a long time ago regarding the importance of fashion in careers of those industries. You'd probably have more luck investing in a condom mfg co for practice pretend trial runs while working out the details of future. I don't know the phase of the moon though. Not wise for planet Earth to try to exceed octomom either.

Sometimes I am embarrassed mortified by this forum.

What part?   I'm being serious.  I don't think I have said anything that isn't how the vast majority of people feel, people are just too fucking PC to admit it.   Photoshopping and makeup wouldn't exist if it didn't sell.  It wouldn't sell if people didn't agree with me, deep down.   I just say it out loud.

I suspect Onan feels similarly about a number of the threads and comments that appear here.  Look, they can't all be winners.  I know I've started a dog of a thread or two, posted a comment I later came to regret.  But as has been well noted here, over the last six months we have had some spectacular flame-outs, freakshows, and foolishness.

I'd like to know the Champion of sales real name by birth, address of current residence, and telephone number. I can show you what deep is with my own voice. I won't accept that info other than posted here for the world to see though.

Okay; A bit of my past. My principle occupation since leaving school was printing-pretty much all but gravure and web. Apart from that I've done both amateur and professional photography. I've shot most things including glamour/nude, professional models as well as wives wanting a present for their husbands. Hey, I've even been recommended by clients to others. I've been asked in the past if taking photos of nude or provocatively dressed women turns me on. Answer, not sexually. What makes me buzz is a job well done. It's a woman looking at her images and feeling special, alluring, sexy and proud of her womanhood. I have seldom used photoshop to airbrush wrinkles out. I've altered contrast, brightness, converted colour to monochrome, I've added catch lights to eyes, I've removed a mole that one lady didn't like on her neck.

I'm not PC, I'm pretty straight forward, you get what you get with me. The vast majority of people don't agree with you, most would prefer to see people as the people they are; Not the so called idealised utopian Twilight zone clone version of 'beauty'. 'Beautiful' women tend not to have anything else. Vacuous, self centered and not that bright (I've shot a few models to know), they're not the sort of girls and women I'd really want to spend time with. Sexy intelligent women come in all shapes and sizes. The really sexy women are the ones who can flash a grin or look that screams 'I want you'. Without make up, dressed in a boiler suit, and hair a mess. An intelligent woman will have me wrapped around her finger in minutes; a thick but glamorous one won't hold my attention for more than a few seconds.

Well, here's one person who doesn't agree. Speaking as a woman who does enjoy looking nice and fusses, I also know my sum worth is not defined by eyeliner, designer clothes or a smart haircut. My intrinsic worth is defined by what's inside, how I treat other people and foremost, how I see and respect myself and whatever talents I may have. If I listened for any length of time to people who want to define me or value me based on my appearance, I'd fall into the pitiful group of plastic surgery, augmented and overly styled high maintenance mannikins. But I don't, because I am a living breathing woman and I'm happy with who I am and how I look. And if someone doesn't like it, he or she can go bugger off. I might even flip the bird.

But here's what bothers me about this. It's the sheer unkindness that masquerades as objectivity. It's a one-way street that some men indulge in. They can judge women, but women can't judge them. They consider themselves entitled to judge women, or more accurately, self-entitled. Not all men of course, not even the majority, but some. I once worked with a jerk who wondered out loud if he'd still love his hypothetical wife if she had breast cancer. My advice to anyone foolish enough to date someone like him would be run for it. And that's the revolting, narcissistic extreme of this obsession with looks. At the other extreme was my father who did everything he could to make my mother feel like a desirable woman after her surgery. He is my gold standard for a real man.

For my part, there are few people whom I consider unattractive, and those usually are people whom I wouldn't piss on if they were on fire. It doesn't matter if the man is another George Clooney: if he opens his mouth and shows himself to be a charmless bore, that's enough to turn me off. But if a man can speak well, and is kind, funny and intelligent, that man goes right to the top of my personal attractive list. Curiously enough, he doesn't have to have hand tailored suits or wear designer cologne: morning stubble and tousled hair are endearing, sexy even because I know the same man will take my breath away in a tailored morning suit, or a shirt and pair of jeans or anything where he's doing something that makes him happy. And that's the difference between seeing the real attractiveness of a person versus the exterior superficial part.

I suggest watching Shallow Hal for anyone who has a problem with this. Yes, even women whom some would consider unattractive are attractive in their own eyes and the eyes of those who love them and everyone else be damned.

Looks like you're a woman w/a special problem. Best I can suggest is only looking for licensed MD's that care about their patients/patience more than their boss. Please don't expect a guy like that to maintain, diagnose, or fix your car though.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I have no "special problem", but under the scrutiny of the image obsessed, there are women who will believe they are lacking and will do anything to conform to an unrealistic ideal of beauty.

I have an excellent mechanic who takes care of my car, thanks for your concern.

First off, I think you all are extending what I have said well beyond what I have said.  I am not saying someone who is unattractive physically has no qualities that would cause me to not like nor love them.  I'm saying if a woman (or a man) wants to make themselves look more appealing to others, then more power to them, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with magazines or any other media doing the same with their models or photographs.  It doesn't mean you are objectifying anyone, you are just giving the people what they want.    If I were wagering on this, I would bet that copies of People magazine with photoshopped and or made-up women on the cover have by far outsold ones where the covers were the actual photo.   If you don't agree with what I've said, then you're just denying reality.   You are personally welcome, in my eyes, to live whatever life you please, looking however you want.  I'm not going to think less of you.   But, let's say for example, that I was hiring two equally qualified individuals, and one was more attractive and the other had a pig nose , it's likely that the attractive individual would be picked.  It's fucking human nature.  Babies do it too.

Did you know people are attracted (not sexually, asshole) to images of babies?

Yes it is. But not such a simplistic notion as your posts suggest. Cultural and ethnic preferences dictate different measure for attractiveness. Also prehistoric forms show us a quite different representation for the female form:

Much of our "appreciation" for attractiveness is taught. And it is transitory. Look at what was considered "sexy" in the 60's as opposed to now. To suggest it is all biology is dismissing a great deal enculturation. Not to mention the Freudian aspect to attraction.

I don't mean to say that biology plays no part, but it isn't as much a part as you think. And although I agree that many magazines alter images to increase interest, it is more Madison Avenue "education" than it is what your fusiform decisions make.

Biologically speaking, attractiveness seems to be more about symmetry than anything else. So using makeup to make a face seem symmetrical is probably an effective strategy.

The little Woman of Willendorf statuette is a personal favorite of mine. She was made in a time to represent plenty and fecundity, probably not as a representative figurine since 25,000 BCE, bodies reflected the reality of survival, but here she is, an idealized female figurine from the Paleolithic era, reflecting the ideal of plenty. And there are many more like her from other eras as well.
