I love Art's stuff. I separate the material from whatever personalities or family life etc, though don't like insults and insinuations and never appreciated some of the old stuff associated with a guy, like Gunderson, or even Cooper, who I also enjoyed listening too. I want him back, even, (maybe better actually) in a "Dreamland-esque" form. He says he has no fiduciary or professional interest in DMDM or MITD but clearly he has personal interest, for whatever reason. Fine. Whatever. It could've been managed better and a more clear business model, staffing, etc from the get-go. And a manager/gatekeeper for tweets, posts, facebook, etc because it is seems so bizarre and not productive. But whatever...still wish Art and his family well and hope he comes back in some form (podcasts even? Drop-in host sometimes?)

I have not listened after he left.  I don't want to be drawn into critiquing Heather.  If folks here start talking about Art being on at a specific date and I happen to see it, chances are I'll listen.  If he's going to do 'surprise' visits every now and again when his health conditions and stalker permit, I'll not tune in.  I've a lot of programs on my DVR and mucho books on the kindle and will not waste time listening to a radio program on the hope some guy will drop in.  Life is too short and I'm too old.

It's funny, I used to care what Bell Gab said about me, but even when I was doing the show people on here said "it's just not the same" or "the same lousy old Guest's" or the old standby "he sounds drunk" or " he must have Alzheimer's", so it's not like you seemed to enjoy it when I was on the air. For that reason I can't get very worked up about wether you care if I do any more air work or not because as nearly as I can see you don't like much anyway. In that same spirit it's really hard to take any comments on Heather seriously.

I do come up here every now and then to see if anything has changed, I am never disappointed.

Maybe the real problem is that you even bother viewing Bellgab as a gauge of your on-air performance?  I've only been here for a few months and I can honestly say that I've never seen an internet forum so full of bitter worthless assholes.  Half the folks here seem like they just come here to talk shit about you, as if they hold some kind of grudge that probably predates this board or maybe even the internet itself.  It sure seems like it would be unnecessarily stressful to even come here and read 1/2 of the things said on this forum about you.

Maybe the secret to Noory's success is that he doesn't base his performance on what the members of a "basement-masturbating internet old folks home" has to say about him?

I just laugh at people who think Heather is even a logical candidate. No offense, you think someone who told a few jokes with friends a couple times should host The Tonight Show? Then you want to make it a feminist issue? Good luck with that.

She has been a great producer, she's a good person and blah blah blah. But none of that negates that she hasn't developed the talent to be a radio show host. It's not some magic that happens overnight. It takes years of developing. Her being put in this position to fail is shitty for everyone.

This is purely business. Most if not all the subs will dry up, the backlash will be intense and it will be a hellish pointless experience for everyone involved.

At this point there isn't a realistic replacement out there. Maybe Alvarez but paranormal radio is a side gig behind pro wrestling (which he's awesome at) and he doesn't have enough of a fan base to make it work.
