I thought Art made it quite clear that, based on previous experiences, he didn't want to be inconvenienced by having security personnel at his place protecting his family.  The only thing new in Heat's proposal is the security personnel would be providing their service free of charge.  Also not sure what qualifications Heather has relative to vetting security personnel.

I agree with this. I knew a dude, back in the nineties, who was a bit too obsessed with Art's show and ones like it. We worked together. He was clearly schizophrenic, and didn't last too long at the job. He ended up hanging himself. He mentioned Art in his suicide note, not because of anything Art did. He just wasn't in his right mind.

Some of these dudes think just a little too long and hard about things that don't really matter all that much. C2CAM and shows like it are and have always been their dog whistle.

I guess that's why I don't go around shitting on Bellgab's  trolls and hyper-dissenters. Every time I see somebody caring enough about a thing that happened on the radio in December to post every five minutes for three straight months on a subject, literally morning, noon and night, my mind immediately goes to guys like Hoagland's obsessed fan who called into the Gabcast last week. That guy isn't doing himself any favors, but you'd never convince him of it.

Best just to let them talk until they run out of fuel. If they don't, they're probably in need of serious help. And from there, all you can really do is wish them the best.

That's very good advice.  I think I'm going to follow the same. They're probably just very sick; I hope they get the help they need someday.

Good post.  I have a much harder time finding compassion in my heart for people who seem to enjoy shitting all over my favorite board morning, 'noon and night for weeks/months on end...but perhaps in time wisdom will overcome my instinctive urge to destroy those who embody everything I detest.  For now the only reason I don't participate much in this dreck is the sheer futility of it.

I'm one of the loudest critics on here. I think Art Bell is a complete narcissistic con-man who just pissed all over his fans. And Girl Falkie/Noory is an utter disaster. It was fun to pull apart all their bullshit and watch the ship go down. It was fun to poke at the cult mentality on this site and milk the various lolcows on here. But even I don't get what the people who spend all their time trolling on here are getting out of it anymore.

There's not really a body to feed on anymore. Art sucks, Heather sucks and things aren't going to get better. Until the ship officially sinks or Art decides he wants to start acting retarded on the internet again, there's really nothing new or interesting to talk about anymore.

I like both Art and Heather. You and I disagree about our views on people we don't personally know very well, if at all. In the end, it's hard to get too upset about something like that. We're probably more alike than we are different. I still want you to enjoy the shit out of life, and hope that if we ever end up in the same room together, we shake hands and enjoy the conversation.

He could be a hero and come on and do weekends or do the Knapp gig to try to save DMDN.

He could disappear into irrelevance and not appear in public anymore.
