Hi everybody, first the fact that I am now here does not represent a lie since when I last left I simply said I was leaving, not quitting Bell Gab but I am sure it will be said anyway.

Second, I fully understand I reacted far to quickly at a moment I had not slept and was under a lot of stress with what was going on and yes because my Wife had enough and told me it had to stop because it was having a very negative effect on Asia. So I said something I could not take back and that is on me.

Next I want to say sorry to the people on this Forum who supported me in the run up to this show with so much, I understand your hearts were broken but I also want to say that mine was as well because I have been a member here for Years and reading many of the things said here hurt me more then than you can know. I will sure cop to making a very bad decision at that time but this felt like home to me. Bad decision yes but lie, never. I never lied to you on air or off, never.

I would be glad to answer any reasonable questions but if people just want to trash me and my Family I will not respond to that sort of thing. Perhaps you do not believe this place was that important to me but you would be wrong, I am not sure it is the same place I remember but my memories of it the way it was are warm.

He should have been saying this weeks ago, before he threatened MV with a lawsuit. Most people probably cannot forgive him anymore, no matter how hard he tries.

Art, I think that the main reason the formerly "warm" supporters here went haywire is because they were behind you so much, supporting you in many ways, even paying for your show via DMDN. I myself listened live, but never bothered with listening to the archives, even though I was paying the monthly fee. I did it to show support to you, in the belief Sirius/XM treated you wrong.

While I fully understand you were in a very difficult situation with intruders/shooters at or on your property, I agree, you made a bad decision in the hasty handling of that situation by quitting. I think that by making that quick decision, a lot of the people here felt like you abandoned them after all of their support.

Again, I fully realize you needed to do something, and though I agree that you could've handled it better, it "is what it is."  I'm not sure what will happen going forward, I assume you won't be back on the air on any regular basis. And, I'm not sure how much support you'd get from what remains of your fan base. It is sad, though, as KABC had just picked up your show, which was a big "get" for your show, and probably a surprise to Noory that KABC would do so.

I think, in the end, people just wanted "the good times" of listening to Art Bell to come back. And though, in life, it is most commonly agreed that one "can't go home again""," all of us Art Bell'er's lived a short, 5 month dream of new Art Bell shows. For us, the good times were back!  But, now they are gone again, likely never to return. Of course, only you, Art, have the power to return and do what you love to do-radio. I'll keep hoping to once again hear your golden pipes on the air, lighting up all the red beacons on the many towers blinking in the night, pumping out kilowatt after kilowatt of amplitude modulation.

Art--Care to give us your side of the lawsuit threat against MV?  Would you consider that threat another example of something you did too quickly while under stress?  In hindsight, would you do it again?

As close as you can remember, what was the wording of the threat you got on the phone in Nov.?

You might say I'm looking for loopholes.  I'm wondering what the likelihood was that the person knew of MITD per se, or might the person have just known you went to your guest house every weeknight at the same time, seen your towers, and surmised you were on the radio?  Alternatively, was what the person said consistent with the possibility that he was an opportunist who had had heard of the gunshot incidents?

If there were things said on the call that would be to your disadvantage to reveal (because of the possibility of opportunists), then please say so.

(I'd been hoping to pay closer att'n to tonight's MITD because the topic was of great interest to me & friends in years past, and then I got the word about your post, and on top of that a midnight phone call from a friend in pain looking for medical advice.)
