I don't blame her really. I wouldn't have done it. But at the same time, if the General Manager of the Vancouver Canucks offered me a contract to play on the top line despite my being a 30-year old who can't skate and has never played ice hockey before... I'd still probably take it.

They go behind her back or in front and sniff out replacements. We need to back off Heather. She's in a very dark scary place right now. A lot of people have messaged me privately today. Yes she's lashing out and saying really dumb things but I think it's because she's in a very bad place right now and is swinging wildly.

I'm not saying we have to support her or support the show but I think we need to back off on the venom towards her for a little while.

Monday night I called Steve and asked him to host the show that night, he stammered, repeatedly asked me if I was asking him to do the show that night.  He said his phone was in a precarious position, and had to call me back.  I waited for him to call me back for a few minutes, and he did not.  I called him back, and he was even more nonplussed.  I asked him again if he would host, faced with the reality of hosting a live show, he wouldn't do it.  However, that was not the official offer.

The official offer that was given to Steve was to do Dark City live last night as a test.  He agreed to do that, then the night before, declined.  By the way, there is no "livestream" to hook up, all he has to do is call Keith on Skype and do the show.  He wouldn't.

All these twenty-five time zones, really mess with my ability to enjoy this particular serial drama. At 4:30 AM, my time, things are just starting to get juicy... and there I am all tucked in, snoring soundly. It must be great, to be able to watch this insanity unfold in real-time. Oh well, just twenty-five more pages to catch up!

Everything has been handled so abysmally that I find it difficult to believe a group of adults could be so stupid. They seem committed to keeping the hive continually stirred up. Art threatening MV a little while ago. Then when that calmed down, Heather came on taking illogical swings at bateman and a few others in private. Then when this dies down in a day or two after the GabCast, I can't help feeling there will be another dramatic episode to keep the monkeys hooked on the heroin.

Aside from MV, who's financially benefiting from this? Even MV is getting fucked as I'm sure his numbers were way higher when the show and network was actually functioning and his numbers grew along with the show. Noory is rid of competition but at this point he has to know Art will self-destruct every time. Keith got fucked out of two years of work and a decent living. This is going to be one of the most mind fucking episodes in Heather's life that will take years to recover from and I doubt she'll get any real money out of it before she's discarded. Art destroyed his legacy and value as a celebrity, I also imagine he about broke even financially on the whole thing. Probably lost some cash propping DMDN up since he quit which he'll get tired of sooner than later.

Do they keep stirring up the hive only to keep the numbers somewhat existent because of the people listening to Heather get destroyed night after night? I would imagine there's probably 300-500 between here and /X/ on a random night listening into the troll fest. Is that enough to sustain this thing until they figure out some genius move to save it? Let's be honest, most of us would have moved on a long time ago but the disaster aspect is keeping us engaged. That's all they have left.

So what exactly is their plan and what are they trying to accomplish? Is just pissing off the fan base every few days so they can get a few hundred listeners the game plan now?

It's been awhile since I have been on a lift.  A place I used to work at had rented a Genie 185 once... Unreal to go up that high on a day with even a slight breeze.

Anyhow, I really don't know who the hell benefits. It cannot be about the money anymore- and I do not believe that anybody is planning on making a comeback and gaining an additional 1000 subscribers.  I would imagine that number keeps plummeting and is in free fall (again, I don't think that most rational people can blame Heater for this.)

At this point, I don't know why they continue unless there is a contractual agreement in place somewhere.  You have to wonder if that agreement has a clause that would release them if the network and show were to be unprofitable for X number of weeks or months.  At this point, the best way to have such a clause trigger would be to continue on the course they are on.  Perhaps Keith could come here and let us know again what he thinks of us... It's been awhile since he has pissed off people.

Ding ding ding, this where my mind was going. I was wondering if there would be possibly some flukey insurance thing if Art's life was in danger which seemed like a major long shot. Or if they were intentionally trying to destroy the show for some other gain. Who would Art be breaking contracts with? I don't think Keith/DMDN owns him otherwise all the insane decisions probably would have been handled better.

I know this is probably complete crap and it's just people setting fire to their new toys out of whatever psychosis is going on. But you can't help but try to mentally work these things out.
