I gotta believe that it was Ramona who kept the brakes on the rolling train wreck we call Art Bell.

You hit the nail on the proverbial head GE30542. Ramona had the passion for radio, foresight and brains to purchase KNYE, her Station and did most ALL the ground work for Art. Including Art! For those of us who have been with Art from the early 90's remember Ramona Bell was not one to play around, a power house and straight shooter. When Ramona passed Art lost more than just a wife and we lost the magic that the two of them made together.
Airyn Bell has NO thought about The Kingdom of Nye or could give a crap for those of us who took the Ride for so many years. I'm sure she was a thorn in Art's side a week after he started MITD. If I'm not mistaken Art stated that his girls weren't happy that he wasn't available to them because of the hours it took to handle the show. Can't imagine what it would have been like if Art had to work a 40+ hour a week job.
Art should have made the decision to do what made him happy rather than cowering down. I don't believe Art had enough passion to continue considering how bland the shows were becoming.  I guess there's a season for Everything. We need to say farewell Art, thanks for the time.
