Trolling is terrible and dredging up that dark shit about Art's kid is pretty despicable, BUT, I actually think the Penguin's point is fair: "And the cucks who eat it up and kiss his ass while he dangles carrots, drops hints and generally just fucks with his fanbase."

Art kinda did do a job on people who admired and support him.  I mean, people paid money in advance for his show, I feel like the customer is allowed to express displeasure with the product.  It only makes matters worse that his replacement can barely read a script and has been actively deceptive about the whole thing.

I'm new to these shows and the culture around it (so new I don't even know this Noory cat!), but at this point I would say AB is a grifter.  And I know it's super shitty to say, but I would at this point question his past alibis about quitting too.  The guy is fun to listen to on the radio, but his legacy will be clouded by this dubious bullshit.

So you think you can deal and co-exist with these trolls by managing to extract the bit of truth they might mix in with their nasty and destructive character assassinations? And by doing so, you're only being fair and even-handed by honestly looking for the truth?

I say that this is tolerance verging on acceptance and that trolls deserve neither. They are simply a plague on the Internet the way MRSA infections are a plague on patients' immune systems. The idea that people on a forum named after Art who've listened to him for years might lend him the same uncritical support they might a friend is so banal that it hardly deserves comment, let alone the exaggerated poses of supercilious horror some of you guys are affecting.

Where one falls out in the debate over Art's stalker is a measure of cynicism, not intelligence, and I'm not at all sure your pose is a flattering one.  Since I am less cynical, I believe that those of you who know how truly dark the world is are just trying to initiate the rest of us gently, as evidenced by the soothing language you all employ.
