When i first heard Arts explation i did think it was just a precursor to him quiting, but after hearing both shows where he seemed to be into it i do think it was just him well sharing about whats going on his life.

No, it isn't. We're doing exactly what Art does, throwing up interesting possibilities for entertainment value. Bloody hell, we can all sit around and be solemn about everything, but it isn't much fun. We can sit here and be spoon fed the latest instalment from the Politburo, or we can, given the rather sketchy narrative he has been giving us, wonder what is at the root of it all. This is totally in keeping with the way Art runs his show, and is an appropriate - really, the only - attitude to take on this forum.

And I wish people would quit this sanctimonious attitude to the Falkie thread. It's just fun, it's not a plague carrier. No-one is forcing you to read it. It's a comedy thread, and that's all.

Ah, yes. In another galaxy and time, I came here after the ubiquitous googling of GNS!, in complete resignation, with no hope for C2C.  Art's return was nothing more than a forlorn hope.

Let's just say I'm still very, very grateful Art is back.  Just as long as he doesn't become a serial murderer or a Noory-impersonator, I'm down with him.

My son, who's a VP for a market research firm, and told me that the sales impact of a celeb endorsement is very substantial even when its obviously a paid gig.  All that matters is if they're trusted (or trend setters for younger markets). I also know that LED/IR nerve therapy is a placebo effect at best, else insurers would OK it to reduce expenditures on more expensive Rx drugs...plus the FDA says its been ineffective in clinical tests.

There are therapies accepted by the medical establishment in other countries that are laughed at by doctors here.  But, they work on some people.  My boss was wearing a neck brace and in lots of pain.  I brought in some magnets.  He thought it was a miracle.  Many commercial magnetized items are just too weak, but magnets do help with pain at times.  THey use them in Germany, I'm told. 

So, lights?  I'm not arguing.  Whatever works for YOU is good. 

The American Diabetes Assn recommends a diet of carbs that is SO high a person would HAVE to take drugs to cover that.  Isn't it better to exercise and have a much stricter diet than take all those drugs, some of which are involved in law suits involving heart attacks and cancer? 

Some cholesterol meds have been found to CAUSE diabetes. 

A lot of money goes to medical schools from drug companies.  Is it no wonder that doctors graduate having disdain for herbal supplements and other alternative therapies? 

If a person tries various less invasive solutions and gets help he's probably much better off than going the traditional route.  Were I ill, I would try everything, starting with the least invasive methods.

I think that about sums it up.  Funny how you could not just quit after saying that we know nothing about the man other than his radio persona but instead go on to assign him various attributes.

It is EASY to like people at a distance.  I believe Art.  I would believe things that you say.  What do I have to lose?  If you asked for money maybe my trust in what you say would change, but for now, why should I NOT trust that you're telling me the truth?

Come on, Zeeb.  We all know the mouse was really a shadow rodent and Art didn't want to say so because it would give Noory credibility.  That's why it didn't go for the peanut butter.

No. I have no idea what the situation is, just like everyone else. But if you start claiming to see outlandish things then I think that it is something that is at least worth considering. People tend to feel a familiarity with radio personalities that is entirely unwarranted. I think there are other explanations for all of this that are more likely, but I don't think we can totally rule out mental illness. As some have mentioned, a lot of it doesn't add up, and it is hard to tell what is actually going on under the surface.

Well, I at least, believe that these odd things happen.  If strange things have happened to me and someone tells me about a different oddity that they'd experienced, who am I to argue with them? 

Often you can tell if a person is unbalanced.  I had a paranoid aunt who frequently told me about people 'watching' her.  A cat 'followed' her into a bank one day.  She publicly reprimanded the cat and walked out.  Must have been a hoot for the crowd in the bank.
