in regards to the nuclear war "fair catch" I can totally agree with that guy.  I'd rather be vaporized quickly and efficiently rather than burnt to a crisp or suffer death by radiation poisoning.

I used to live a quarter of a mile away from a very large now decomissioned USAF base here in the UK, it was home to a large number of nukes. As a child of the 80's I realised pretty quickly that I'd be vapourised carbon in the wind in the event of a nuclear war. The base would have been the second target in the UK to be hit by nukes, so we all knew that was how it was and I felt it was preferable even then.

Alan is a world-acclaimed mountain climber, professional speaker and Alzheimer’s Advocate. Alan began climbing at age 38 and has climbed on some of the world’s highest peaks including summiting Mt. Everest at age 54. In 2011, he climbed the highest mountain on each of the 7 continents in under a year. On his 58th birthday this year, 2014, he summited K2, the world’s hardest mountain, setting an American record. All of this is a surprise to his friends and family in Memphis where he was born.

He was on Everest when the 2015 earthquake hit creating massive destruction throughout Nepal. He has been instrumental in raising money to rebuild Sherpa villages. Alan shares his experiences though social media channels and on his website www.alanarnette.com. His followers total over 1 million people. He is a regular contributor to Rock and Ice and Outside magazines on mountaineering. Outside called him “one of the world’s most respected chronicler of Everest”.

I turned on the police scanner website in his area and it sounds like there are high winds and a storm coming through the town.  Let's hope it's a weather related issue.  If you search for pahrump on Facebook people are posting some cool photos of a ufo shaped cloud formation over the mountains there.
