So it's Friday the 13th on this week's open lines night! Any good special line suggestions for Art?

Maybe a "My Friday the 13th bad luck story" line? Or something else?

I would settle for three hours of JC.  I need him to call again.

Hmmm.  You and Gene Simmons.

I think you mean you and Richard Simmons.

I was going by a cursory glance at the number of posts/topics on the front page. If you're comparing time stamps, you went into it more than I did.

As for your accusation...nope, I'm not the guy running that abortion of a site. However, since you admit to stalking my posts, if you've got shit to air in disagreement to something I've said, I would appreciate a PM rather than your finger dicking your keyboard in public.

Same for the avatar. Don't like it? Well, you're the first to express offense, so no problem was indicated otherwise to me. Look, I'm a pretty chill bro, I'll change it if you're upset.
Awesome, you didn't run from my post. ;)
Allow me to address your points.
QuoteHowever, since you admit to stalking my posts...
No stalking involved.  Just a couple of clicks.
Quoteif you've got shit to air in disagreement to something I've said, I would appreciate a PM rather than your finger dicking your keyboard in public.
PM's can be dangerous from an OPSEC standpoint if you exchange them w/ peeps you don't know. That's what led me to scope out your posts. But do know that I did consider a PM and was not comfortable with the thought. I don't trust anyone that's signed up in the past three weeks, and won't unless they have enough posts that I, and the other peeps here, can get a feel for the type of person they are. There have been some real pieces of work in here since the shitstorm on the OSOM thread has been stirred up.
Your original post was exactly what a script kiddie or forum poacher would say to get someone to click that link. I had to call you on it -- publicly. My loyalties lie with BellGab & Art.
About the bolded text, that's pretty good....   mind if I use it in the future ?  ;)

Not upset at all. In fact, I'm not quite sure where this came from. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm assuming that it came from this post of mine:
QuoteIs that gs approved  :o  ??
MY fault, I should have quoted "gs approved"
That was a direct reference to a lot of the posts on that site in the link. Underneath most posts it says "gs approved".  gs is the dude that's trying to poach this forum because his site is a POS.
I apologized for purposely being a Dick. I had to be sure of where you stand.
Peace Brother.

Never apologize, son.  It's a sign of weakness.

Consistently great shows and great Guests lately; kudos to Art but also kudos to Heather!

Yes indeed. Last night was a bit iffy but the previous half dozen shows were top notch.

I hope JC calls in again as well. One of the great mysteries of the universe is how someone so foul and repugnant has come to be one of the most universally adored characters in the Art Bell universe. I really don't know how Edna puts up with him. Does anyone know if JC was ever linked to Westboro Baptist Church? I wouldn't be surprised if he was a card carrying member. (On second thought, JC may be too extreme even for them).

Maybe Art should should have a special line just for JC on friday nights. He can be Art's new religious adviser. ;)

Fort Rock might know, but he seems to have locked down the Scorpion Army and gone into covert operations.

Like Art's Vatican Correspondent.

El Kragen

Nowadays I am rarely up to listen to a whole show but I couldn't sleep last night. It was nice listening to all 3 hours. A flash back to the late 90s when I first started listening. Hearing Crystal Gayle and Art signing off, I was like Fuuuuuuuuck yeeeaaahhh.

It's an excellent way to Time Travel. Just like hearing certain songs can take you back to another place and another time, hearing Art book ended by The Chase and Crystal  takes you on a similar journey.

God's very own Ten Star General in the fight against pornography. 30 minutes of open lines with JC and other callers. Ha, just Art let him do years ago.

Either that or a "running from crazies" open line, where people talk of their brushes with the unstable.

I think it would be fun to have a throw down between Hoagie and JC, all moderated by Art. I can see it now:

"Mister Hoagland, you make the blasphemous claim that there are 7 mile high glass towers on the moon??? How dare yeeeeew!!" ;)

makes me think of how hilarous an Art Bell "universe" (he has his own now) celebrity deathmatch would look

You know that JJ is pretty damn good when men are tied up and doped up so that they can't resist.  I bet I'm not the only one who would like a go at JJ.  Just him and me.  I'd have my usual afternoon Scotch, we'd pick up our blades and have at it.

And as I held him close, he would blow out his last bloody breath and I would watch the light go out in his eyes.

I just popped wood.

finally a home for my fan fiction in the "Artiverse":

Madman thought to himself "This has been my focus...passion for the last few weeks.  No not weeks, months.  Wait! Could it really have been years?!"  Moments before he threw the switch on the device he had designed from parts scavenged around the tri-state area it dawned on him he had already built a time machine. Instead of letting him travel at will back and forth in the time stream he had accelerated time relative to his perception as he built this...thing.  Torn between grabbing chalk and writing this new thought turned equation on the board and jumping head first into the experiment  excitement got the best of him and his hand reach for the on switch.

When he woke up it was dark, too dark.  His last memory was the feeling of being flipped inside out as the magnetic force pulled him through the vortex.  Now he sat on what felt like a jagged stone with the sound of a goat and alarm bell jolting him back to consciousness.  The walls around him were smooth and circular, like he was inside a missile silo.  As he struggled to find his bearings his mind drifted to an old Art Bell show that had been playing years before while he had worked.  A name came into focus through the haze as he spoke to no one in particular...."Mel".  Could he be?  No...

That would be hilarious indeed. Now to think of a a name. How about, "Friday night phone line fights". (Okay, that's a pretty horrible name actually). ;)
