Just watched the scariest, most intense damn show ever.  Nuclear Meltdown Disaster on Nova on PBS.  It's almost a minute by minute account of Fukashima.  Excellent
I saw that, too.  Excellent and frightening, as you say.

He was good with Norry but, like everyone, will be much better with Art and his questions and ability to not interrupt at inopportune times. Speaking of which wasn't that the show where Dave first came up with some escalator to the top of a volcano and also "big hole at the bottom of the ocean" and other inane ideas (and kept bragging about his new Hawaiian studio?)
Sure, and there is such a better continuity, a meaningful flow of conversation, without so many commercial interruptions.  I also love the podcasts.  If I fall asleep or there is a line drop (very few, especially compared to the hated SiriusXM) I can very quickly find what I missed through this method of dividing the broadcast into three sections.

I tire of these UFO people, but I think in part it is because I have had enough 'strange' experiences to learn that there are different beings out there, some of whom are protective of humanity and others who see us as our doctors might look upon the animals who some of them experiment on.

I guess there is not much known on any other than the horrid 'greys', but I wish there were.  Also, I know a guy who had a peculiar encounter, but it was so fast that it was nothing meaningful to report and the creature was so weird that, if I had not known the guy, I'd doubt his sanity.  I don't repeat my own experiences because I'd laugh at a stranger, had they told it to me.  I imagine there may be a lot of people in such positions.

zRadio or Screamer Radio (z allows me to schedule, Screamer record while playing only (at least as far as I can figure.)

Thanks. I'll check it out.

sorry to cross post, but i wanted to shine some attention on this and increase the possibility it is seen by people who can get things done.  this RSS situation has me going nuts.  i've only heard one show from beginning to end because it's such a pain in the ass to hear the archives.

Totally agree, shows smaller than this one are, that have been ongoing for YEARS now, have an RSS feed established that does the job and is secure. There's no excuse.

Bless you good brother.

For those not tech savvy it's not a whiny demand, it's the norm for today's podcast world.

I think the reason for no RSS feed is to minimize piracy. Dont know this for a fact, but its the only thing that makes sense to me.

Actually, and MV will be pissed with me for telling you this, but I get all the reports to the moderator. I then go through them and file them in order of importance.

Reported.

Thanks for speaking up for all of us time travelers, MV. Your voice obviously is heard louder than most of the rest of us. These things hopefully will be addressed in the near future. I am grateful that I have the ability, albeit limited, to hear Art, On-demand, and have not wanted to sound like I am whining about the archives' short-comings.

Everything will get worked out like we want and need it to. It's still early.

Tonight is number 9 number 9 number 9 number 9 number 9

But it might benefit everyone involved to employ an assistant to bring MITD's website tech up and let Keith concentrate on getting us our Time Traveler Badges, Decoder Rings, and the Atlantean Dolphin whistle premiums.

In the meantime, I will send you the shows on SuperDisk floppies so that you can listen to them with ease on an IBM ThinkPad fitted with the latest 2003 Cakewalk Pyro MP3 organizer.

So get that external Imation SuperDisk Drive out of storage asap and have it ready to spin.

I just learned about them and they seem great.  For what it costs it better be good. its a 27 SEER 9,000btu if that means anything?  I saw Art has one in his studio.

Good high SEER mini-splits ain't cheep thats for sure. You can spend around a couple grand or more installed. The higher the SEER number the more efficiently it uses electricity removing heat or cold. 9000BTU is around 3/4 ton, and about 1100 watts maximum power usage. It should cool a decently insulated area of around 350 square feet no problems. 500 square feet needs around 12,000 BTU unit.

27 SEER sounds like a Mitsubishi Mr Slim, if it's the heat pump model it can operate down to -13°F.

Me too, seems somewhat irrational. I know JB Wells does the same sort of thing with his podcasts, which is very annoying for the few I want to listen to. Seems like username/password gate should be able to keep out all but the hardcore.

The daily ritual of downloading the files and importing them into my app of choice is getting old.

Us

Friday has been kept as Open Lines by Art.

wr250

ive semi automated this, i run a command, it fetches the three current mp3's, type another command (i might chain these together) and it joins the files and tags them. i have to enter the guest and a optional comment.
krowland and/or art bell if you want these pm me.
everyone can do it themselves, its not hard to download 3 files and join them into 1.

In the almost 30 years I have listened to talk radio, I`ve only called one show; the Neal Boortz show.

Tonight, I may place my second call. There`s something I have always wanted to know about Mr. Bell.

As if Art doesn't have enough to worry about with J.C

I imagine he can hardly contain his excitement.
